Envision provides high quality programs so that all people with disabilities can achieve their greatest level of choice, independence, and inclusion.The EU Finance team strives to achieve a higher degree of accountability and transparency while efficiently and effectively providing excellent financial support services in achieving agency objectives.Under supervision of Chief Financial Officer, the Director and Controller takes a role in overseeing accounting operations, general ledger management, vendor management (i.e. EXL), generating related entity financial reports, internal controls, and complying with nonprofit accounting standards and regulatory requirements.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Essential Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:Direct all aspects of accounting management and general ledger maintenancePrimary liaison with outside vendor (EXL) for majority of AP, AR, Bank Reconciliations and other data entryLead formulation and adherence with internal controls, policies and procedures and best practicesOversee all sections of the general ledger, including journal voucher entries, reconciliations and sub-ledger activitiesPreparation of monthly and annual financial statements for Envision related entities and the Foundation for Human Development (FHD)Drive month-end close activitiesPrepare and implement expense allocations in preparation for closingPlay key role on annual audit, 990 preparation, CYFER, CFR, and Single AuditOversee grant, fee for service, and other revenue posting journal entries for department P&L reportsOther duties as assignedSUPERVISORY DUTIES Finance Coordinator Senior AccountantOTHER EXPECTATIONSEmployees shall respect the diversity of all individuals (e.g., clients, co-workers, stakeholders) and refrain from any form of discrimination andor based upon a person's legally protected characteristics or conduct, including but not limited to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, and gender identity or expression.Employees share the responsibility of creating and maintaining a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive work environment.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill andor ability required.EDUCATION, SKILLS, andor EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in accounting or financeCPA certification required7+ years of accounting experienceProficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (Great Plains Management Reporter a plus)Working knowledge of GAAPEffective communication skills, both written and verbalProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with ExcelAbility to train and manage staffAbility to work autonomously with minimal supervisionPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
