This position will serve as the Head of Biddable Media.The ideal candidate will have exceptional problem solving and client management skills, substantial team building, process improvement and leadership experience, expertise in marketing fundamentals, prior P&L management experience, and be an expert in paid search marketing (SEM), paid social, display and programmatic. SEO and email marketing experience is a plus. Prior health and pharmaceutical marketing experience is required.The VPGD will manage a multi-capability team and will also be responsible for assisting with new business development, planning, contract negotiation, strategy development, implementation, and performance analysis in order to meet our client's marketing objectives.As a leader on our team, they are required to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, operations and finance, in additional to working closely with the CEO and SVP of Client Services to ensure that agency goals, principles, and standards are met and maintained. The VPGD will be required to wear many hats and roll up their sleeves often, especially with regards to paid social and programmatic as we are still developing our capabilities in these areas. Expert knowledge of paid search and the ability to set the bar high and lead a team is required.Along with a competitive salary (salary range: $187,500 - $247,500) and benefits, we offer numerous opportunities to earn significantly more additional compensation through various programs including a yearly bonus.Our office is located at 26 Broadway. Please note: our office is following all CDC and state guidelines. ***Fully remote employees located outside New York City will also be considered and are encouraged to apply***However, local candidates that are willing to provide leadership and encourage collaboration in the office are preferred.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist with developing tactical planning decks that map out recommended tasks, deliverables and timing for new and existing clientsAssist with new business developmentDevelop proposals for new and existing clientsDevelop Statements of Works based on proposalsManage and delegate roles and responsibilities and tasks to 10-20 team members at various levels and maintain high standards for quality workManage team allocations and build and structure the team as neededEnsure that the "Sosemo Approach" is followed by the teamFunction as the strategic expert on the team to help guide both clients and the client services teamRecommend strategies and tactics required to meet or exceed client expectationsWork with OperationsProject Management to manage timelines and confirm that all work is delivered in a timely manner levering status reports, hours tracking and project management softwareManage clients and ensure satisfaction including health checks and QBRsOversee the delivery of keyword research, social listening, analysisinsightsrecommendationsManage the Paid Media (SEM, Paid Social, Programmatic) teamsOversee the development and delivery of all paid search, paid social, and programmatic deliverables including plans, creative, and metrics reportingMaintain high quality standards and train the team as neededAssist with employee reviewsResearch and keep up on industry trendsProvide strategic oversight and team managementDevelop new marketing services and refine processesRepresent Sosemo as a thought leader at events and via publicationsPresent at conferences and eventsQualifications4-year college degree in marketing, business, computer science, or related fieldMust have Fortune 500 or prior big agency experienceMust have an adequate number of LinkedIn endorsements for SEM (30+) and Paid Social (30+)3 professional references will be requiredPassion for digital marketing and entrepreneurshipMust be an experienced and proven leaderPrior P&L management experienceMust have strong analytical and problem-solving skillsMust have strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skillsExcellent thought leadership and presentation skillsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneouslyMust be able to make decisions in a fast-paced environmentMust be highly detail-orientedMust have basic knowledge of web technologiesMust have working knowledge of social networking sites, search engines and app storesMust have expert knowledge of paid search engine marketing, display and paid socialMust have expertise in SEO, programmatic, and email marketingMinimum 5 years of prior team management experience, a proven track record of success, and substantial prior experience developing and motivating high caliber talent and the desire to continue during soMinimum 12 years of experience managing paid search, paid social, and media campaignsMinimum 3 year of prior pharmaceutical marketing experienceAdditional InformationNote: For this position, we do not currently sponsor applicants for work visas.This job specification should not be construed to imply that these requirements are the exclusive standards of the position.
