General Manager and Vice President of Sales, Integration & Engineering Services(Controls Engineering, Process Engineering, and OTIT Applications)Remote USCanadaThe position of General Manager and Vice President of Sales involves leading the Integration & Engineering Services (I&ES) Operating and Sales Teams to achieve commercial business targets, developing business and targeted account plans, and working with strategic partners. The role also includes business development, account management, solution development, and career development for the team. The candidate must have extensive experience in selling and commercial management within the Control System, Process Engineering, and MESOTIT applications industries, along with strong leadership and communication skills.Position OverviewLeadership and PlanningAchieve commercial business targets consistently as outlined in the Integration & Engineering Services (I&ES) operating plan.Senior Leadership Team (SLT) Co-Leadership participation - Be a co-key leader participant in the development and execution of the Divisional Sales I&ES operating plan for the current and upcoming fiscal years. This includes the Convergix Strategic Planning Management Process, where we define and set our annual and three-year objectives and goals.Lead the I&ES Operating and Sales Teams to develop business and targeted account plans for different verticals and service areas and to achieve results as committed in the I&ES Business Plans.Work with strategic partners on joint account planning initiatives, e.g., Rockwell Success Planning Activities.Provide advice and feedback to the Chief Commercial and Growth Officer and the CGX Executive Team as part of the Sales Leadership Team.Dual reporting to the Chief Sales and Growth Officer and CEOBusiness Development and Account ManagementDevelop and meet annual sales target plans for specified Branches and Verticals, including quarterly Orders and Funnel development targets.Lead growth initiatives for new Control Systems, Process Engineering, and OTIT integration applications and service opportunities from existing and target accounts.Develop sales plans and maintain contact with new and current customers regarding Convergix capabilities and offerings.Participate in marketing and customer development activities such as trade shows, seminars, and content development for web materials and white papers.Engage with customers and Account Managers as an Executive seller, involving extensive travel throughout North America.Provide direction and management to Business Development and Account Managers for developing solution marketing concepts.Assist Marketing in the development of the "Buyers Journey" to grow an efficient pipeline.Solution DevelopmentDevelop solution concepts and customer-based solutions, including preparation of related recommendations and proposals.Work with service delivery managers to create quotations.Career DevelopmentWork with the Convergix Chief Commercial and Growth Officer and VP HR to actively develop account management team.Assess, mentor, and assist I&ES Management, Branch Management, Project Management and others relative to all I&ES Commercial processes.Identify technology training and education opportunities for key Account Management resources.Develop competencies to maximize impact and personal capabilities.CoordinationCoordinate activities and resources to meet the business plan and create sustainable municate line of business needs to Regional Managers.QualificationsExtensive Selling and Commercial Management experience in Control Systems, Process Engineering, and MESOTIT applications industries with an established network of business contacts and customers.10+ years of experience in driving services and engineering-centric sales for sustained profitable growth across a geographically and industry-diversified organization.Proven commercial management experience and expertise including Proposals, Pricing, Project Control, Project Budgeting, Operational Budgeting, and Performance Management.Experience leading and managing growth-oriented sales teams.Experience in developing and implementing strategic direction with Fortune 100 customers and executive management.Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong business acumen and ability to determine long-term value.MBA or comparable experience required.Ability to manage multiple vendor and channel relationships.Demonstrated leadership and influence characteristics.Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the US and Canada.Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk and hear.Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Occasionally lifts or moves up to 25 poundsWhat does CONVERGIX Offer You?Here at CONVERGIX, we offer a very generous compensation and benefits package including:Comprehensive benefits and 401KRRSP packages (including health, dental, vision coverage and more!)Clear paths for career advancement and opportunities for professional developmentHands on experience with the latest automation technologies and toolsThe chance to be part of a globally recognized workplace that consistently develops cutting-edge solutions that set industry standardsA diverse and inclusive atmosphere that provides support for employees from all walks of lifeABOUT CONVERGIX AUTOMATION SOLUTIONSConvergix Automation Solutions designs, engineers and integrates hardware and software to automate its customers' operations.
