You will help lead daily client relations, plan and execute day-to-day project deliverables, support and lead junior staff, and conceptualize integrated strategies, pitches and media placements. You will also work closely with client leads and internal staff and develop and advance strategy with senior leaders. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about issues that cities face, both in New York and across the country-including land use and urban planning, social issues, housing, sustainability, economic development and health care.Role location: This role is based in our New York, N.Y. office on a hybrid basis. The Cities teamis in-office 3 daysper week.ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONSAs an Account Executiveon the Cities team, you will...Develop and implement strategy and campaign planning for multiple high-profile client accountsManage clients dailyEngage with key reporters and editorsWrite and edit persuasive external and internal documents such as press releases, op-eds, fact sheets, talking points, editorial board memos and communications strategiesAssist in the execution of a variety of public affairs tactics, including stakeholder engagement, in-person and digital grassroots organizing and paid advertisingEssential skills: A minimum of 3 years of experience with strategic communications from working in politics, government or advocacy or with a PR agency, media outlet or in-house communications teamFamiliarity with New York City and State politics and mediaAbility to handle multiple assignments at once, work quickly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated relationships with reporters and strong news senseAbility to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with varying levels of staff, clients, the media, etc.Strong attention to detailAbility to work with a team to meet group objectivesNote: Interested in this role, but it's not quite the right match?
