Job SummaryThe Assistant General Manager is responsible for the service and experience of the operation. Motivates, trains, develops and directs team members to deliver exceptional service and accomplish daily goals and projects. This position oversees the administrative and operational tasks, including financial management and analysis, sanitation and safety. The Assistant General Manager will focus on hospitality and the cafe experience for the Google Food program in order to support operational excellence. This position reports into the General Manager and will leverage their strong communication, hospitality and operational skills to partner with key stakeholders to promote standards, expectations and enhance user (partner) experience. This position is based in Seattle, WAThe great things you will be expected to do:Multi-unit oversight with at least 2 locations and 60 associates. Annual budget of ~$25mm.Designs, manages and owns the overall experience, not just the offeringsSets an expectation of hospitality that is friendly and engaging Has a Passion for quality food preparation and taste.Trains and develops the management teamAssists the GM to ensure manager reviews, coaching sessions, and disciplinary actions are delivered in a professional and timely mannerWorks with GM to monitor and manage all financial responsibilitiesEnsures all sector and Compass employee guidelines are implemented and adhered toPromotes a culture of Food and Workplace SafetyTreats everyone with professionalism, care and respect.
