Job SummaryChartwells Higher Education is seeking a self-motivated individual for the role of Financial Analyst at the University of Pittsburgh. In this role, you will advise on the day-to-day operations and financial success of the foodservice locations on the campus. As the lead finance associate at the account, you will ensure the accurate management and reporting of the locations finances while working with the location leadership team to develop action plans to continually drive financial performance. The ideal candidate will be an expert in Finance and Accounting and how these relate to internal controls and financial results. Job Responsibilities:Responsible for all cash handling proceduresPerform reconciliation and analysis for several balance sheet accountsAnalyze financial results for both internal and external useTrack and maintain monthly PL and balance sheet activityDevelop forecasts and budgets, identifying risks and opportunitiesReview of general ledger and balance sheetResolving various accountingreconciliation issuesFinancial reports: monthly, quarterly and annual reports, including but not limited to monthly and fiscal close, internal and external audit reporting, report preparation and distributionMaintain inventory and cost control proceduresReview food service contract for financial adherence and billing functionsPayroll and Human Resources administrationPerforms related duties and special projects as assigned including management of POS system Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or equivalent professional experience2+ years experience with revenue control, financial reporting, trend analysis, and cash handling responsibilitiesAccounting experience in foodservice or retail industry required, foodservice operations experience a plusExperience with sales analysis and reportingAdept at planning, organizing and controlling complex processes as well as analyzing moderately complex financial informationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSkilled at managing multiple priorities and relationshipsStrong experience in internal controlsExpertise in Microsoft Office with a concentration in ExcelPoint of Sales experience a plus Embark on a dynamic career journey with us, where innovation thrives and your contributions make a tangible impact on campus life!
