Axsome is based in New York City.About the Position:Axsome Therapeutics is seeking an experienced, dynamic commercial leader to manage the Trade and Distribution function and team. This individual will be responsible for the management of the commercial organization's distribution and dispensing channel activities. This role reports directly to the the Executive Director, Trade, Distribution, and Patient Services.This role is based at Axsome's HQ in New York City with an on-site requirement of at least three days a week. We are unable to consider candidates who are looking for fully remote roles.Job Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to, the following:High level, constant engagement with external trade and distribution parties related to agreement obligations and language development.Strategic oversight and management of the business rules and contracting activities for 3PL and Distribution services from Order to Cash.Effective external messaging focused on telling the Axsome story and building brand awareness and reputation through the trade and distribution environment.Develop and manage trade and distribution budgets in line with the financial and strategic goals of Axsome Therapeutics through efficient management of vendor partners and contractors.Performance monitoring to ensure efficient and predictable execution of day-to-day channel operations.Engage in building future distribution strategiesnetworks to meet the needs of Axsome's expanding portfolio.Routine customerdistributor facing interactions completing QBR's and other meetings focused on the alignment of business objectives and overall channel strategy.Consistently collaborative approach with team, leadership, and multiple internal teams to ensure partnership on relevant topics.Engagement with Long Term Care entities and GPO's to build connections and education structure for pipeline assetBuildout of Specialty Pharmacy RFP process and go-live network to support access for pipeline assetRequirements QualificationsBachelor's Degree required7+ years of Trade and Distribution experience in the pharmaceuticalbiotech industry requiredEngagement in routine key external meetings, conferences, and other external touch points requiring travel throughout the United States when needed (45% - 55%)Ability to work on-site Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. We are unable to consider candidates who are looking for fully remote roles.Experience and KnowledgeExperience in and extensive knowledge of trade, distribution, and channel management activities within the pharmaceutical industryExperience with multiple facets of distribution approaches, including full-line distribution, specialty distribution, specialty pharmacy networks, sole-source distribution, and other distribution tacticsExisting key contacts within external parties covering each of the above described facets of distributionLeading, coaching, and mentoring a team of high performing professionals with a focus on high quality output and career developmentA problem-solving mindset with demonstrated "lean-forward" approach and ability to think criticallyDemonstrated success in completing complex analytics with informative outputs used to inform and drive organizational decisionsAnalytical mindset and experience directing and managing activities related to channel performance operations and reportingStrong understanding of industry trends in the pharmaceutical distribution landscape, the flow of product and the flow of the dollarExcellent oral, written and presentation skillsSalary & Benefits The anticipated salary range for this role is $190,000 - $215,000. We encourage candidates of all levels to apply as there may be flexibility on final job title and responsibilities. The salary offer will be based on a variety of factors, including experience, qualifications, internal equity and location.
