*Open to our other office locationsDescriptionThis Senior Broking position is a leadership position that works with colleagues and clients to develop and place builders' risk, inland marine, property and equipmentinstallation business focused on the construction industry. They will be responsible for leading the new and renewal project and account placement strategy, identifying, and recommending coverage and markets, carrier negotiations, and preparing and presenting proposals to clients and prospects. They are expected to provide thought leadership in the industry and internally to colleagues, with the opportunity to develop new and program and product solutions to suit client needs. The Senior Broker must possess a high attention to detail and strong technical propertybuilders' risk, inland marine, property and equipmentinstallation insurance knowledge base. This position involves working, often independently, in a busy office as well as visiting clients and attending carrier and industry events.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPossess a proven ability to execute complex civil infrastructure works, including tunnelling.Possess a basic ability to interpret engineering plans associated with civil infrastructure works.Demonstrate expertise in the hazards and coverages specific to civil infrastructure works.Identify key decision maker's, client's or prospect's risk needs and determine the services, products, and strategy that will best serve and address the issues and objectives of the prospectclient and effectively present solutions to themServe as a visible leader in the industry and actively participate in industry associations, organizations, boards, and charities, as appropriateSupport Chief Broking Officer and local Insurance Leaders by developing and maintaining carrier and wholesale broker relationships as the main point of contact, and manage key local relationshipsInterpret loss data and actuarial reports to support efficient program designs and develop loss picksPrepare andor check submissions and obtain, evaluate, and negotiate coverage, cost, and compensation with underwriters for both new and assigned renewal businessProactively conduct and prepare intricately comprehensive coverage analysis for prospects and clients to include policy forms, endorsements, exclusions, and manuscript wordingsCollaborate with American Global claims professionals and coverage counsel as appropriate for the successful resolution of complex and or disputed claims mattersCollaborate with Project Risk Solutions team to place builders' risk, inland marine, property and equipmentinstallation and other project specific programsBuild and maintain effective and sustainable relationships with clients on a national & regional basisUnderstand the client's business objectives and lead the development of custom solutions to address the prospectclient needsStrategic point of contact for client coverage questions, contract reviews and deliverablesSupport Insurance Department Manager in producing stewardship reports on complex accountsLead and support the Account Executive in Pre-Renewal strategy meetings for complex accounts and placementsOrganize sales data, reports, and meetingsDrive development of sales documents and presentations to prospectsDevelop sales intelligence for new project opportunities using technology tools and relationshipsPrepare and explain policy coverage and pricing comparisons on an individual account and enterprise-wide basisAssist in development of sales documents and presentations to prospects on an individual account enterprise-wide basisCoordinate with other American Global National & Regional Brokers to collaboratively develop and disseminate carrier and market intelligence on a regional and enterprise-wide basisAct a visible leader for the internal insurance team by understanding, supporting, and communicating American Global's short- and long-term business objectivesUndertake various duties and special projects as assignedSkills, Knowledge & AbilitiesStrong technical builders' risk, inland marine, property and equipmentinstallation knowledgeStrong risk financing capabilitiesAbility to present and clearly explain the details of property builders' risk, inland marine, property and equipmentinstallation programs to clientsStrong background in account management, servicing, placement and negotiation of property builders risk, inland marine, property and equipmentinstallation coveragesSupport an understanding of the construction insurance marketplaceAbility to solve problems and think independentlySuperb interpersonal skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to work well under pressure with attention to detailAbility to organize, prioritize, monitor, and control workflow deadlinesBe energetichave a sense of urgencyPositive and flexible attitudeEducation & Licensing RequirementsBachelor's degree preferred or related work experienceHome State P&C license & license in states you are servicing clientsCRIS, CIC, ARM, or other professional designation is desirable
