Cybersecurity Engineer, Vice President

An Investment Management firm based in Midtown NYC is looking for a Vice President, Cybersecurity Engineer to join their growing infrastructure and security team. The role will be responsible for implementing cyber controls across the environment as well as cybersecurity policy, controls, and incident response processes.ResponsibilitiesBuild and update cybersecurity documentation to ensure alignment with risk controls and regulatory requirementsWork across teams including audit and risk to align security practicesOversee the cybersecurity logsalertsOptimize threat protection across systemsAnalyze and assess cybersecurity policies to ensure up to date with industry standards and regulatory requirementsCommunicate key security challenges and risks to leadershipConduct risk assessmentsQualificationsBachelor's degree in cybersecurity or related, or equivalent years of work experience7+ years' of professional experience in the cybersecurity space including policy work, threat modeling and controlsExperience working with SIEM technologies and cybersecurity monitoring toolsExperience with NISTISO standardsExperience with security tooling including palo alto firewalls, defender, elk stack, purview, etc. preferredExperience with Microsoft Defender preferredRelevant cybersecurity certifications preferredThis role is hybrid, 4 days per week onsite with Fridays remote.
