This position is responsible for preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements and provide accounting support to the Finance Department.ResponsibilitiesManage month end close and preparation of financial statementsResponsible for international entities and their closereportingManage balance sheet reconciliations and account analysesManage ticket reconciliation for all regular season and playoff matchesManage monthly settlement process with MLS ClubsProcess, review and record monthly journal entries and accrualsReview trial balances monthly to verify proper coding of expensesAssist in monthly and year-end close processProject-based settlement accounting and management (All-Star Game, MLS Cup & Leagues Cup)Assist in year-end auditResearch variances to budgetAssist with tax filingsgovernment census surveysResponsible for international entities and their closereportingAssist withexperience with foreign subsidiary accountingOversee and develop Staff AccountantsManage hiring and onboarding process by interviewing, selecting, orienting, and training employeesAccomplish team results by communicating job expectations and managing the Performance Management process:Plan, monitor, and review performance.Coach and counsel employees;Develop and implement department procedures and productivity standards and reinforce Company policiesDevelop personal growth opportunities for employeesAdditional responsibilities as assignedQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance7+ years of experience in accountingfinanceRequired SkillsSuperior organization, project management skills and attention to detailHigh level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and complianceAbility to work effectively in a fast paced, team environmentStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verballyHigh proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookDemonstrated decision making and problem-solving skillsDetail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervisionAbility to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysDesired SkillsExperience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) or similar accounting software a plusExperience with Hyperion EssbaseSmartView or similar financial reporting software a plusExperience with Concur a plusKnowledge of the sport of soccer Total RewardsStarting Base Salary $100,000 - 140,000.
