This role is at the core of Plume's growth and community-building efforts, focusing on cultivating and managing relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), influencers, thought leaders, and industry advocates.As the KOL Lead, you will build and maintain an extensive network of trusted voices in blockchain, crypto, and DeFi. You will develop and execute strategies that leverage KOLs to amplify Plume's message, support product launches, and increase brand awareness. This is a cross-functional role requiring close collaboration with Marketing, Product, and Community teams. Overall Responsibilities1. KOL Strategy & ExecutionDesign and execute Plume's KOL strategy, identifying and targeting influential voices in blockchain, DeFi, and the RWA tokenization space.Drive initiatives that amplify Plume's brand through the voices of KOLs, aligning key messages with product launches and strategic objectives.Build and manage a global network of crypto-native KOLs, influencers, community leaders, and brand advocates.2. KOL Identification & RecruitmentIdentify and onboard influential KOLs, creators, and community figures that align with Plume's brand values and audience.Develop a data-driven approach to identify high-impact KOLs across different regions, languages, and social platforms (Twitter, YouTube, Discord, Telegram, etc.).Negotiate partnerships, collaborations, and content sponsorships with top-tier influencers and industry thought leaders.3. Relationship ManagementBuild strong, long-term relationships with key opinion leaders, content creators, and industry advocates.Act as the main point of contact for KOLs, ensuring timely responses and effective communication.Maintain a KOL database with contact information, terms of engagement, and performance tracking for each relationship.4. Campaign Development & ExecutionPlan and execute KOL-led marketing campaigns to support Plume's initiatives, such as product launches, events, and community growth efforts.Collaborate with the Marketing and Content teams to co-develop creative assets and key messaging for KOL-driven campaigns.Track and report on campaign effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations to improve future campaigns.5. Reporting & AnalyticsMeasure the effectiveness of KOL initiatives, including reach, engagement, and conversion metrics.Use data to assess the performance of KOL relationships and optimize partnership strategies accordingly.Provide regular reports to senior leadership on the impact of influencer-driven marketing initiatives.6. Event Support & RepresentationOrganize and facilitate influencer-driven activations at industry events, conferences, and meetups.Work with event organizers to secure speaking opportunities and promotional collaborations for Plume's key opinion leaders. Qualifications5+ years of experience in influencer marketing, partnerships, or community management. Crypto native required.Proven track record of building and managing relationships with key opinion leaders, social media influencers, and community advocates.Deep understanding of the blockchain, crypto, and DeFi ecosystems, with existing relationships with key players in the space.Expertise in social media platforms (Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, Discord, Telegram) and experience driving engagement in these channels.Strong negotiation and relationship management skills, with the ability to foster long-term, authentic partnerships.Knowledge of influencer marketing tools, analytics, and tracking platforms.Passion for decentralized finance, crypto, and tokenized real-world assets.
