Facility Operations Supervisor

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an energetic Facility Operations Supervisor to lead our production driven safety conscious team in East Chicago, IN. Responsibilities include but not limited to for front line leadership supervision of plant operations including shipping and receiving and blending.Why work for Safety-Kleen? Leader in environmental products and services Competitive pay and benefits Comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days 401K and stock purchase plan Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career Generous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement Positive and safe work environments ResponsibilitiesPerforms supervision of department and site-specific plant operations, including, but not limited to, truck and rail loadingunloading, tank farm operations, scanning applications for Waste tracking.Supervises and mentors' union employeesTraining and development of new hiresFollowing up to ensure they are trained properly and signed off Able to review all applicable standard operating procedures (SOP's) annually and score satisfactorily on quizzes.Acts as the recognized subject matter expert in their area(s) of responsibility.Ensures that employees follow and maintain all applicable Health and Safety rules, Standard Operating Procedures, and all other site-specific policies and procedures and holds employees accountable when they do not.Ensures that supervised operations employees understand and have ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards.Works under the direction of the S&R Manager or equivalent.Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in their areas of responsibility.QualificationsHigh School or equivalent 3+ years supervisory type experience in an industrial environment (Petro-Chemical exp is a plus!)Experience managing larger teams preferredStrong leadership skillsExperience writing HOTWORK permits is a plus!Rail and Tanker knowledge dealing with liquids is an assetAbility to streamline and improve processesMust work well under pressure and pivot as neededExcellent communication skills written and verbalStrong documentation and organizational skillsComputer literateProficient MS Office Suite - Word, Excel and OutlookProven problem solverChange management exprience a plus !Excellent organizational skills.Able to review all applicable standard operating procedures (SOP's) annually and score satisfactorily on quizzes.Proficiency in Windows based applications.Knowledge of scanning applications, EOM scanning SOP's, VPI Pick sheetsProficiency in multiple site-specific plant operations.
