PPA is an award-winning practice in traditional architecture, recognized as a leader in classicism and historic preservation. We are currently seeking architectural interns to join one of the firm's highly skilled and technically innovative teams. Our work ranges from houses and apartments to institutional and commercial work, including mid-rise residential apartment buildings. Our portfolio of projects has consistently expanded and includes books on American architecture as well as museum exhibition design. A successful applicant will demonstrate a willingness to engage in a collaborative and creative environment and will show evidence that they can consistently produce work of very high quality.Role Description:Assist with survey and analysis of existing site conditions as neededProduce drawings with direction from the design team and Project ManagerCollaborate with the Project Manager and senior members of the team to produce deliverables accurately and on timeAssist in preparing for client meetingsAssist in coordination efforts with the project teamDevelop drawings and models as neededCommunicate effectively in written and oral formatsSelf-check own work for completeness and accuracyQualifications:Enrolled in or recently graduated from an Architectural degree programBasic knowledge in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office SuiteExcellent analytical, time management, conceptual, communication, and organizational skillBasic knowledge and understanding of different rendering techniques and excellent graphic skillsPrecise and personable verbal and written communication skillsBasic understanding of architectural design and construction principlesMust be able to commute to the NYC office
