Independent and innovative hospitality group is seeking an experienced FOH Manager to assist the Beverage Director with all the day to day operations of their newest opening project in Soho. The ideal candidate is organized, responsible, punctual, self-motivated, warm, hospitable, and above all a team player. The candidate should work well in a fast-paced environment, multitask efficiently, have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Additionally, they should have a demonstrable interest, knowledge, and passion for food and hospitality. Candidate should have a strong wine and beverage focused experience but will also be engaged in floor service. Uphold company standards of customer service, health and safety regulations, and company policies and proceduresCultivate customer relations, answer questions, address complaints, and ensure prompt service and satisfaction.Oversee the balancing of cash drawers, record income, and expendituresMonitor restaurant supply, food, and beverage inventories, and communicate inventory status to purchasers Lead daily pre-shifts meetings, encourage employee feedback, and incentivize service salesFoster a communicative and open work environmentEnsure an organized, smooth and efficient service for guests and staff by being present and proactive on the floorCoach staff to converse about menu offerings, product sourcing, and culinary preparation techniquesOversee proper management of VIP reservationsDelegate work duties, maintain schedules and employee timecards, and maximize covers"Fill in the gaps" when it comes to serviceMaintain a clean and safe work environment, which includes the restaurant, loading dock, and all other work premisesCommunicate daily service notes, employee performance, operational or customer service concerns with other managersAdditional ResponsibilitiesAssist with the preparation and set-up of eventsSupervise and direct event staffOrder stock and perform various administrative duties.Assist in staff counseling or performance reviewsAssist with the coordination of staff tours and gallery eventsEducation, Experience, and License RequirementsManagement experience in a team-oriented workplace preferred.Demonstrated ability to coach, lead, and develop staff members.Exceptional organizational management skills.Skills and knowledge in: Excel, Micros, and OutlookFood Handler and TIPSResponsible Beverage Service (RBS) certificationCompensation:Salary based on experience15 days accrued vacationMedical, dental, and vision insurance401k with employer matchDining & hotel discounts
