Overview The Compliance Specialist is responsible for reviewing closed Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA and other Non-Agency multifamily loan files. Responsibilities This position may include the following duties and responsibilities, but not limited to: Review closed loan files to ensure proper and accurate documentation as it relates to said auditsGenerate weekly reports for compliance department and senior managementExecute file testing as it relates to compliance initiativesPrepare and distribute monthly summary highlights to report results and corrective actionsCreate and deliver written and verbal communicationpresentationsProject manage select initiatives, as appropriateTraining creation and developmentQualifications Education: Four-year Bachelor's degree required.Experience: Minimum 3 years' in any of the following disciplines:Underwriting, operations, closing or loan servicing;Compliance or quality control;Legal document review;Audit experience preferred within the commercial real estatemultifamily industry.KnowledgeSkillsAbilities: Strong compliance policy and procedure writing skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsUnderstanding of traditional commercialmultifamily mortgage origination, underwriting practicesA general understanding of commercialmultifamily loan servicingBasic knowledge of Fannie Mae's and Freddie Mac's multifamily guidelines, a plusAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelCandidate must possess strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills and be team and results orientedTravel: Some travel required. Arbor Realty Trust, Inc. offers a competitive base salary and discretionary bonus. The starting base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $100,000. The specific compensation that will be offered is based on an understanding of the hired candidates' qualifications at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on employee work performance reviewed during the course of the year.
