Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a Billing Specialist in the Revenue Management Department of our New York City office. We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package.Position Summary:The Billing Specialist is responsible for the accurate and efficient preparation of bills and invoices for various Billing Attorneys. This position is based in our New York office and reports to the Billing Manager and Director of Revenue Management. Candidate should be flexible to work overtime as needed.Duties & Responsibilities:Processes client bills using Pre-bill Viewer and paper bills via Aderant softwareSubmits electronic client invoices and accruals via various e-billing websites using EHubBill BlastResearches and answers accounting and billing questionsReviews and edits pre-bills in response to requests from attorneys and legal support specialistsExecutes, handles, and processes a high volume of complex billsReviews and verifies accuracy of billing and supporting documentation as requiredUndertakes special projects and ad hoc reports as neededrequestedSkills & Competencies:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanor, and presentationAbility to prioritize workload and adapt to a fast-paced environmentHighly motivated, self-starter who can work well under minimal supervision, as well as take a proactive approach in being team-orientedHigh attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to manage time effectivelyAnalytical with strong problem-solving skills, takes initiative and uses good judgment, excellent follow-up skillsMust be proactive in identifying billing issues and providing solutionPosition also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines, effectively prioritize multiple tasksCandidate must be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervisionQualifications & Prior Experience:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferredThree or more years prior experience as a Biller within a law firm requiredAderant software, Concur, Prebill Viewer, and E-billing Hub or Bill Blast experience preferred, but nor requiredProficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook requiredExceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quicklyThe expected pay range for this position is:$75,000 - $90,000Salary will be determined based upon education, experience, job related factors permitted by law, internal equity, and market data, including geographic pay differentials in locations where market pay differs from the national average.
