Accounts Payable Clerk

Road Ranger, a growing multi-state Travel Center company, is seeking to add a Accounts Payable Clerk to its finance team! The position is responsible for all facets of the Accounts Payable function. The AP Clerk will be tasked with receiving, opening, and logging invoices into the ledger, as well as other duties like general ledger reconciliation, and expense report handling.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Reviews invoices for accuracy and appropriate accounting treatment, i.e., general ledger accounts, project codes, and correct GL assignmentsGenerate weekly run payments to vendorsMaintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactionsAssist with monthly reconciliation of APResolve invoice discrepancies with appropriate parties in a timely mannerMonitor AP shared email inbox throughout the day to ensure timely processing of invoicesCollaborate with other groups in the finance department to ensure seamless end-to-end processProvide input to AP manager and CFO regarding potential changes in AP policies and how suggested changes would affect AP functionsReconcile vendor statements to ensure past due invoices are paidAssist with year-end 1099 processingAd-hoc projects as neededRequired Experience:3+ years of Accounts Payable experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly detail orientation and excellent organization skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentImplementation of AP process improvementMust be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programsRetail experience preferredBenefits:We offer our employees a wide variety of competitive benefits to support their health and wealth, such as:Health, Dental, & Vision InsuranceWeekly Pay401(k) with up to 4% company matchPaid Vacation, Sick, and HolidaysPaid MaternityPaternity LeaveEmployee Assistance ProgramAccident, Critical Illness, Short-Term & Long-Term Disability InsurancesPay Range: $21-24hrJoin the Road Ranger family and see how far your drive can take you!
