Company DescriptionThe Workforce1 Career Center (WF1CC) operates in coordination with the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) to provide recruitment, job training and business services. WF1CCs require the attention of professionals who can support major change initiatives, as well as ensure the success of a business-driven system. We operate three such centers within the Bronx: Main Hub (Fordham), West Farms (Tremont) and Hunts Point. Each Center features dedicated services to targeted populations including veterans, the justice involved and youth, as well as services to the general population. The Sales Account Manager (SAM) is the business engagement and management representative for the Bronx Workforce1 team. As a SAM, you will be responsible for sourcing, engaging, selling to employers and managing employer relationships. The SAM reports to the Business Services Manager and works closely with Career Advisors, Community Partner Coordinator, and Operations teams to ensure that we are collectively supporting the needs of jobseekers and employers. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions unless this causes undue hardship to the company.Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesConducts searches for suitable job openings for clients, comparing client qualifications with employer's requirementsDevelops a wide variety of job opportunities for candidatesEstablishes and maintains active and frequent contact employersDevelops and maintains detailed knowledge of the local labor marketEstablishes rapport with area businesses; maintains on-going relationships with businessesWorks with businesses to identify job openings, alternative work activities, and training initiativesWorks with employers to secure validations of employmentSupports employers by creating employment screening toolsMaintains a current listing of local job opportunitiesKeeps project staff apprised of local business needs and job placement opportunitiesWorks with Recruitment Account Management team to facilitate job placementsEnlists cooperation of Community Partner Coordinators to help increase awareness of available workforce services in the communityMaintains follow-up contact with employers to determine satisfaction with services and plan for quality improvementArranges for employers to speak to candidates about employment and employer expectationsSets up job fairs and employer hiring events.Other duties as assignedQualificationsQualificationsBachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college or 2 years work experience in business to business sales, marketing, customer service, staffing or recruitingExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsData driven and has the ability to analyze and solve problemsDemonstrated strong customer service skills.Strong presentation skills with public speaking or outside sales experienceFamiliarity with the communities being served, with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resourcesDemonstrated knowledge of labor market trendsFriendly, professional demeanorSales or staffing experience preferredAbility to work well in teams and independentlyProficient in Microsoft Windows and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Additional InformationEquus Workforce Solutions, formerly ResCare Workforce Services, is the nation's leading provider of workforce development services in North America.
