Goddard Riverside is excited to announce we are diving into our settlement roots and becoming a resource to Asylum Seekers in New York City! Goddard's newest endeavor will be a Sanctuary Site for adult families Asylum Seeking. This residence will be a place where residents can feel safe, receive resources and support, while becoming acclimated and part of the community.Purpose of Position is looking for a dynamic Case Manager to join the team to promote quality and integrity of all social service activities. This person will be an advocate for families to assist in minimizing barriers to services.Schedule: We are hiring 5 Bilingual Case Managers!2 Case Managers to work Tuesday-Saturday 9AM- 5PM3 Case Managers to work Sunday-Thursday 8AM-4PMSalary Range: $43,000 to $50,000**Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate's number of years experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.Roles, Responsibilities, and Essential DutiesProvide case management services to a caseload of approximately 20 families.Utilize evidence-based practice models including person centered planning, motivational interviewing, trauma informed care, culturally sensitive, and strengths-based approach to families.Monitor compliance with goals through regular weekly contacts.Perform culturally sensitive intake, assessment, service planning, and advocacy.Work closely with shelter staff to enforce rules and regulations for residents.Coordinate interpretation and translation services.Coordinate with the Mayor's Office of Immigration Affairs (MOIA) and other legal assistance programs.Refer and follow up on community-based medical, dental, mental healthcare, ESOL classes, and job training.Assist and run residential groupsactivities as needed.Maintain client case records and enter documentation in a timely manner.Attend staff meetings, case conferences, trainings and supervision meetingsOther duties as required.QualificationsEducational RequirementsBachelor's degree in social work or other human services field, strongly preferredStrong understanding of trauma and how it manifests, as well as experience delivering trauma-informed, culturally sensitive services.Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken) required.Experience working on-site in a congregate housing setting preferred.Skills, Knowledge and AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skillsAbility to negotiate numerous priorities, resolve conflicts, and manage a high degree of communication with multiple parties.Excellent judgementComputer Skills:Proficient in Microsoft OfficeAbility to learn data base systems, such as CARESPhysical Requirements and Work EnvironmentIndoors at residence Frequent walking and standingOccasional lifting, up to 30 lbs.Work EnvironmentOnsite in residential program.Employee Benefits :MedicalDentalVisionLife InsuranceCommuter benefitsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Flexible Spending Accounts403B Thrift Retirement Plan12 Annual Sick Days12 Agency Holidays20 Days or 4 Weeks of Paid Time off and an additional week (5) days after 5 years of employmentTotal of more than 6 weeks (a month and half) of paid time offWe are committed to building an inclusive workplace community grounded in respect for differences.
