This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to athlete development and provide exceptional support to our teams. Collaborating with the Senior Director of Player Engagement, you will handle executive, professional, and administrative responsibilities to ensure the department's seamless operations.As part of this role, you will use your judgment to resolve issues with players, Clubs, and administrative staff. You will handle confidential information and oversee special projects for the League, Clubs, Players' Association, and other collaborators.ResponsibilitiesFormulate creative solutions for program development to assist teams.Collaborate with MLS NEXT Pro on player programming and resources.Act as a liaison with MLS NEXT, proactively creating and implementing Intercultural Awareness trainings and programming for MLS Academy's and players.Manage the MLS Great Network and Match Evaluator Program.Build and maintain credibility, trust, and respect from Clubs, executives, coaches, players, and their families.Create, develop, and maintain a network of player-specific training resources for the League.Facilitate pro-active mentoring, support, and encouragement for players, coaches, support staff, and their families through training sessions and curriculum development that offer creative problem solving and crisis intervention solutions on a range of issues.Research and analyze information to identify and implement standard methodologies and strategic integration of programming needs.Support in planning department operations, budgeting, vendor contracts, and conducting research.Represent the organization at meetings, social functions, etc.QualificationsBachelor's Degree andor relevant experience7+ years of experience working in sportsRequired SkillsExperience working with professional athletes and a strong understanding of their approach and culture (International player experience is a plus)Knowledge of the player demographic and ability to tailor programming accordinglyFluent in Spanish languageAbility to remain strictly confidential with the business of establishing trusting relationships with front office personnel, players, coaches, administrators, and other professional and collegiate sports affiliatesSuperior organization, project management skills and attention to detailHigh level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and complianceDirect cross-functional teams to implement new practices, programs, and procedures in a time sensitive environment. Collaborate with departments to assess current training curriculums.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environmentStrong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verballyProficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookDemonstrated decision making and problem-solving skillsDiligent individual capable of effectively managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines independently.Self-motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic in approaching tasks and endeavorsAbility to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysDesired SkillsExperience as a professional soccer playerTotal RewardsStarting Base Salary $90,000 - $110,000.
