Also serves as the Head Women's Volleyball Coach. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES Assists the Director of Athletics in the supervision, planning, organization and conduct of home athletic events Attends scheduled athletic department meetings, convocation, open houses other campus wide events. Represents the College as requested by the Director of Athletics at regular andor special meetings of the NCAA or ECC. Serves on committees within the College at the discretion of the Director of Athletics. Performs other reasonably related duties as directed or assigned by the Director of Athletics. WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL Responsible for all aspects of developing, leading, and managing a NCAA Division II program. Charged, with the concurrence of the Director, with the selection, supervision and retention of Assistant Coaches. Develop, implement and evaluate a successful recruitment program of prospective student-athletes. Facilitate an atmosphere conducive to the continued academic and the athletic success of student-athletes, and monitoring the academic programs of team members. Represent St. Thomas Aquinas College before various groups, including media and alumni. Attend staff and individual meetings with the Director of Athletics. Be present at all team practices, games creation of an appropriate practice and game plan aimed at developing and preparing the team for successful competition. Handle administrative tasks as maintaining rosters, scheduling practices and games (with the approval of the Director of Athletics), keeping team statistics, monitoring and supervising the condition and maintenance of team facilities, organizing and administering tournaments or events, and making travellodging arrangements. Coordinate and oversee pre-season conditioning and weight training programs. Fulfill a variety of obligations to the conference and organization to which the sport is a member. This may include attending meetings and serving on committees. Develop team morale so that the conduct of team members in practice, when actually participating in a contest, or while on the side lines or on the bench, reflects active interest in the team's performance and conforms to the standards of true sportsmanship. Responsible for the physical condition of each team member, which may mean not permitting a student to practice or compete if they have not been deemed physically fit by the Athletic Trainer. Coaches will cooperate fully with the sports medicine staff, trainers, and doctors. Cooperate with all college offices that work with the athletic programs (i.e. Development, Alumni Affairs, Communications, Student Affairs, Enrollment Services, etc.) As required by the NCAA, report annually to the Director of Athletics, all athletically related income from outside the College which may include (but not limited to) income from camps, etc. Maintain knowledge of all applicable NCAA, Conference, and institutional rules that impact the women's volleyball program; Represent St. Thomas Aquinas College before various groups, including media and alumni. Attend staff and individual meetings with the Director of Athletics. FACILITIES AND OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT Assumes responsibility for facilities related to athletic program, eg. soccer field, gymnasium. Games Days- plans, organizes and conducts all home events. Games shall be conducted in a manner that ensures safety for all student athletes, and complies with rules and regulations set forth by the ECC, ECAC, and NCAA. Coordinate operational staffing needs and serve as liaison to all game day operational entities including, but not limited to visiting team, officials, police, EMS, ticket takers, ushers, guest services, grounds, housekeeping, facilities management, emergency management, technical services, information technology, disability management, and parking and traffic Submitting and logging maintenance work requests and monitoring responses and progress of work Researching vendors for all purchases related to facilities, operations, and game management Performing administrative duties associated with requisitions and purchase orders; coordination of building and event security efforts by working with STAC security personnel for assigned sports Assists with the physical set-up of equipment at gamespractices.
