The scope includes account management for traditional and online distributors and independents to hospitality, multi housing, MRO and B2B in the United States and product categories from room AC to TTW, HVAC, PTAC, ductless, CAC and others as the business matures.This person will be a self-starter with wide autonomy in further developing Midea brand distribution on specialized channels. Will be expected to lead product and channel development working in tandem with sales, R&D and factory to build a leading market share position in the segment and manage new businesses from the ground up.Essential Job Responsibilities•Leading channel development for HVAC segment with initiative, autonomy and commitment to assigned sales, profit, channel and inventory KPIs while building productive, professional relationships with key contacts across accounts.•Lead and coach the HVAC team including sales, product management and other functions as the business develops, creating a culture of growth, intrapreneurship, and accountability.•Be the expert on United States HVAC market, competitive environment and strategic opportunities, driving efforts to hit increasingly challenging targets in new business development with short and long term perspectives.•Lead cross-functional alignment on the business plan for the category; execute USA specific category strategies and plans and drive organizational resources towards opportunities with the best ROI.•Identify and implement cross-departmental process improvements relevant to the channel. Coordinates the involvement of company team members, including support, service, and management resources, to meet performance objectives and customers' expectations.•Manage business and inventory lifecycle by driving monthly and quarterly sales target business plan attainment, managing promotions, aligning PSI forecasts, and managing end of life and transition. Works in conjunction with assigned customers and internal SCM department to develop accurate forecasting.•Ensure sales team and channels have their technical information and marketing needs fulfilled by leading product and marketing teams to develop channel and product specific literature, promotional materials and campaigns.•Coordinate with Management, HQ and R&D the necessary business, technical and product requirements for US market.•Other Duties as Assigned.Required Qualifications•Bachelor's degree in technical field preferred or combination of Business education and segment experience, MBA a plus•Must have minimum 10 years of progressive channel management experience•Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills•Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel and Power Point skills•HVAC industry experience is required (i.e. Fujitsu, Mitsubishi, Daikin, Johnson Controls, Carrier, LG, GE, Amana, Friedrich)•Occasional International Travel (Midea America Corp. is an equal opportunity employer.
