The ideal candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision, efficiently manage a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment, and communicate effectively. This individual will support the daily functioning of the Government Clearing department.Responsibilities: Work independently and cooperatively with specified section Comply with section policies, procedures and escalation protocols Monitor and create "Receive and Deliver" transactions in BDC (Broker Dealer Clearance) Research and balance the IMPACT system Research discrepancies Balance daily work Determine correct delivery instructions for counterparties Reconcile and redeliver Dks Support senior staff with ad hoc tasks Participate in two-way knowledge transfer Demonstrate first rate client service skills and escalate issues to a supervisor, as appropriateQualifications: High School diploma or equivalency; some college preferred Possess basic computer knowledge and skills Hands on experience using the industry software process, "Impact", preferred Ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment Able to handle regular activities without promptingCompensation:For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the City of New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The current base salary offered for this role is $55,000.00 per year at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
