Tishman Speyer currently has approximately $68 billion in assets under management, including iconic properties such as Rockefeller Center in New York City, The Springs in Shanghai, TaunusTurm in Frankfurt, and Mission Rock in San FranciscoThe Position:Reporting to the General Manager, we are looking for a hospitality professional responsible for prospecting, contracting, producing, and executing catering eventssales while supporting daily operations.General Responsibilities: Handle event inquiries, prospecting, proposals, negotiations and contracting according to procedure and within specified time frameHandle the collective coordination of all event information and resources, account management, sales prospecting, and business developmentManage the communication and details of booked events from start to finishRespond to event inquiries via phone and email to provide comprehensive planning detailsCreate proposals, floorplans, administrate BEOs, contracts and timelinesGuide clients with appropriate food and beverage selections, room layout, dcor, and audio visual needs as it pertains to each eventPrepare and maintain up to date and well-organized event records through Tripleseat and shared driveSchedule sales calls and planning calls, teams meetings and in person to meet weekly and monthly goalsSchedule site visits and walk throughs with clients and provide assistance to any walk-in clientsBe an expert in menu pricing, room layouts and outlet capabilities to accurately communicate with guestsUpdate necessary departments of any changes in event operations, load-in times, guest arrival.Ensure billing accuracy and conducts bill reviews with the clients prior to processing the final billAssist in daily schedule of events on site with operations managersWork closely with the General Manager to ensure the service and food and beverage experience at (JACX LLC) exceeds guests' expectationsLiaise with the corporate marketing team to bolster promotional effortsEnsure that events progress seamlessly by following established procedures, collaborating with employees, and ensuring accuracy.Handles all guest concerns and complaints professionally and further communicates these to the General ManagerMonitor and maintain cleanliness in all areas of Food & Beverage and working condition of departmental equipment and suppliesPerform daily walkthrough of all areas and be vigilant of any maintenance issues and report to the appropriate department and follow up to ensure completionEnsure that Food Hall storage facilities and other areas are maintained, organized, and hygienicPerforms managerial opening and closing procedures for the restaurant, private events & all other Food & Beverage outlets based on standard operating proceduresManage scheduling, payroll, financial reporting, and all other administrative tasksPrepare weeklymonthly event sales reports as required by restaurant and ownershipDevelop and maintain relationships with local partners in the LIC communityAll other responsibilities assigned by ManagementSkills & Qualifications:5 - 8 years of hospitality experience in a high-volume environmentMinimum 3-5 years of experience in event sales, managing and overseeing teamsGreat attention to detail in both independent execution and the supervision of othersEffective, clear, and concise in both verbal and written communicationHigh levels of emotional intelligence to ensure success in guest relations and people managementResourceful and efficient in all tasks with an expert ability to determine prioritiesStrong critical thinking skills to solve for root causeOrganized and timely with the management of multiple tasks at any point in timeAction oriented with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a teamFamiliarity with food and beverage basics, menu planning and event coordinationMust be willing to work a flexible schedule to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks*Onsite presence is required for this position.The base compensation range for this role is $85,000 - $95,000. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, as well as access to our comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) plan (with matching contributions), wellness benefits and all other benefits afforded to full-time Tishman Speyer employees.This base range reflects a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skill sets, andor licensure required of an individual in this particular role.
