A legal services firm in New Jersey is looking to fill an immediate need with the addition of a new Paralegal to their team. In this role, the Paralegal will be responsible for organizing, filing and tracking property tax appeal cases and case deadlines. Responsibilities: The Paralegal will: Prepare Pleadings with speed and accuracy Research public records for property information Prepare documents necessary for case review Organize documents for appeals and other Court submissions Organize and coordinate case review for appeal determination based on deadlines Review and gather relevant documents for Motions and other Court submissions Draft and file Pleadings with the Court Draft Answers to Complaints Update electronic document system to maintain accurate status and information Update records to maintain accurate status and information Draft letters to boards and courts Organize and track documents received from clients and the Court Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: 3+ years of experience as a Paralegal Associate's andor Bachelor's Degree Strong understanding of Law firm procedures and requirements Strong understanding of relevant Court rules Microsoft Office proficient (Excel, Word, etc.) Solid research skills (including LexisNexis, internet, etc.) Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Highly organized Desired Skills: Paralegal certification Tax Appeal or Real Estate experience
