Position Summary: The Global Pricing & Valuation Services team is responsible for the oversight and fair valuation of portfolio securities for Fund NAVs and Performance, as well as reporting to our Valuation Committee and Boards.Our team is seeking an intern to help us bring automation of our manual tasks to fruition. This automation will allow our team to spend more time working on value-add analysis, and less time on repetitive tasks.The intern who joins our team this summer will learn about Equity, Debt, and Derivatives, and how they are valued. This intern will also use their detail-oriented skills to help reduce risk and errors in our valuation process.Team Culture:We are a tight-knit team who values collaboration. We work hard to meet deadlines and support one another along the way!A Global Pricing & Valuation Services Intern at Franklin Templeton can expect to learn: Valuation of different types of securities like Equity, Debt, and Derivatives.How securities without a market or vendor price are valued.How the oversight function works in an outsourced model.How automation is changing the way work is done, allowing more time to be spent on analysis.Key responsibilities may include:Analyze and resolve daily price exceptions by reviewing price movements against market expectations while documenting all research and exception findings.Research currency or security price challenges initiated by Portfolio, Trading, andor Fund Administrator.Update database according to procedure to properly track fair valued plete month-end and quarter-end reporting in accordance with procedures.Ideal qualifications:Attention to detail.Ability to work independently.Ability to pivot between tasks based on changing priorities.Knowledge of Power BI, Power Automate, and Alteryx a plus but not required.Ready to make moves?
