We envision and work toward a bright future, full of possibilities, where each child can flourish and reach their full potential.Counseling In Schools (CIS) is seeking a Success Coach for Boys and Girls HS, Brooklyn. CoachesMentors are typically matched with 15-20 target students, who they seek to connect with multiple times a week. Coaches responsibilities are determined by what research shows are the most effective practices for engaging at-risk students and their families. These include personally greeting students upon arrival in the morning to make them feel welcomed and noticed, engaging caregivers, calling home when the mentee is absent, and supporting culture and climate activities and events that encourage school attendance. Additionally, connect students and families with a wide range of services to help them overcome barriers to school success and graduation.Qualifications:Perfect for College Students or RetireesMust be able to pass a background check and DOE fingerprinting Must have a High School Diploma or GED - College Degree PreferredHigh energy and ability to connect with teenagers and maintain professional boundariesBilingual in Spanish Preferred Requirements: Must have a High School Diploma or GED - College Degree PreferredAdditional Info:12-18 hrs per week. Primarily Onsite Compensation: $22-$30hourly; commensurate with experience
