Our compensation and benefits programs are market driven and competitive, with excellent family friendly policies and flexible working provisions.Job DescriptionAre you looking for your next opportunity?Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Assistant Vice President of Treasury, North America in our North America Finance Global Treasury team for our Property and Casualty Insurance and Reinsurance businesses.This role will be responsible for helping to lead the North America Treasury function and managing the financial affairs of the North America organizations. Reporting to the VP, North America Treasurer, the incumbent will support the continued enhancements and optimization of the capital and liquidity management framework within the North America region, in partnership with the rest of the Finance community. This role will help oversee the Treasury functions in the U.S., Canada, and Bermuda. Location: This position will be based out of our Purchase, NY office. We strive for collaboration which is why we offer a work environment where our employees thrive and develop long lasting careers.Our business, your impact, our opportunity:What you'll be doing:Serve as a primary advisor for driving decisions into the liquidity position of North America operating entitiesAssist in overseeing North America entities forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs and funds available for investmentHelp ensure North America entities have sufficient funds available to meet ongoing operational, capital investment and capital distribution requirementsSupport the transformation towards globally integrated treasury operationsActively partner in developing the modelling of short-term and long-term liquidity forecasting needs working with the rest of the Finance teamAssist in executing the hedging strategy for North America entitiesDevelop and implement Global Treasury policies and procedures within North America that impose an efficient and adequate level of control over treasury activities and provide support for regulatory reportingCollaborate with various operational teams to help ensure the effectiveness of North America businesses' billing terms and settlement processes.Support banking relationship management and advise on North America country-specific requirementsHelp to implement and execute on the organization's working capital strategy within North America working with the relevant peer functions in Finance and the businessDevelop and monitor cash targets for all North America entities to support efficient liquidity managementAct as authorized signatory on bank accounts and as an officer of North America entities, as neededRegular dialogue with the investment team to ensure alignment with investment policy, recommend funding for sufficient cash flowSupport, develop and enforce a strong environment of internal controls, effective security measures and financial management policies for North America Treasury functionWhat you'll bring:Minimum 5 years of experience as a senior member of Global Treasury Function, preferably in the insurance industry Demonstrated 7 years of success in fast changing and matrix reporting environment Working knowledge of Capital Frameworks and Capital Markets Products for insurance companies preferred Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related business field Master's degree or professional certification such as CTP or CFA are preferredSalary Range: $120,000 - $190,000 Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.At Sompo, we recognize that the talent, skills, and commitment of our employees drive our success.
