Every employee takes a person-centered approach that exemplifies the ICARE values (Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence) through empathic communication and partnerships between all persons.Work Shifts8:00 A.M - 4:00 P.MJob DescriptionPurpose:Under the general supervision of the Budget Director, with latitude for independent judgment, is responsible for the overall financial management of the Affiliation contractbudget as well as the creations, monitoring, and reporting on operational expenditures and revenue. Responsibilities also includes the assistance andor generation of Budget Monitoring reports and analyses, which includes the calculation of the allocating hospital annual budget, business plan administration and other related duties assigned.Specific Duties and Responsibilities:The Assistant Director is charged with and responsible for:•Creation, develop, and maintenance budget databases for PS and OTPS to aid in daily work and projects.•Perform data validation and reporting of routine download of system data into the databases.•Assistance in the creation of EPIC reports and periodic data download for operational and financial analyses of various hospital services.•Create queries and templates to handle the analysis of a large quantity of data.•Update monthly profit and loss analysis of selected hospital initiatives and business plans.•Analyze other hospital service volume and financial as needed.•Assist with review and update changes to the affiliation contracts.•Work with other departments regarding their budgets (PS, OTPS, Affiliates, Capital).•Monitor PS overtime, OTPS expenses and ARF funding of assigned departments.•Review and approve requisitions and support the departments as needed.•Perform all other related duties in alignment with the mission, vision, values, and behavioral expectations of NYC Health + Hospitals.Minimum Qualifications1. Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline with an emphasis on accounting and financial systems; and two (2) years of responsible-level experience in fiscal management or administration with an emphasis on financial systems, management information and controls, one (1) year of which must have been in a responsible administrative or managerial capacity; or2.
