Explore this opportunity:Customer Service Rep - Ambulatory Surgery - Full Time - DaysRegister patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, and feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others. In this role, you'll obtain demographic details and insurance information, and ensure proper scheduling. You'll record patient history while obtaining pre-certification and authorization for patients. Most importantly, you will be the calm and reassuring presence patients need as they navigate their hospital experience.This is a full-time position at NYPLower Manhattan Hospital working Monday through Friday, 6am-2:30pm. No weekends or holidays.Preferred Criteria:Some college educationMedical Assistant, Coding, Billing, or Medical Office trainingPrior experience in public and customer servicePrevious experience in healthcare settingPrevious experience in Health Information ManagementBilingual (Spanish-English)Bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese and possibly Fukinese)Required Criteria:High School Diploma or GEDKnowledge of insurance and third party billingGood decision making and strong customer service skillsAbility to apply diplomacy in dealing with customer service related issuesAbility to multi-taskSalary Range:$26.31-$28.55HourlyIt all begins with you.
