The Finance Department is seeking an Accounts Receivable Manager to join our team! This position will sit in 1200 Waters Place, Bronx, NY 10461.JOB SUMMARY:Under the direction of the Director of Account Receivable : The Accounts Receivable Manager provides assistance and guidance to the staff, residents and their familiesdesignated representative with regard to their financial rights and responsibilities pertaining to residency at The New Jewish Home.GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:SuperviseGuide staff on a daily basisAssist staff in resolving billing issuesPrint and analyze aging report and follow up on outstanding balancesAnalyze and refund credit balancesProcessMonitor monthly billingsMonthly billing reconciliationEnsuring that all payments are received electronicallyAssist in making deposits as neededMeet with Staff weekly to review aging reports and address issuesFollow up with various insurance companies to ensure proper direction of paymentsAnalyze resident's accounts for accurate billing and paymentsCorrect chargespayments in billing system as neededMaintain files in common drivePrepare monthly aging reports by payer and present to ManagementReview cash receipts for accuracy in postingMaintain satisfactory attendanceCreatemaintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis as well as a calm environment throughout the FacilityMaintain confidentiality of all residents' financial informationMaintain an organized work area so that files are easily accessibleFollow Nursing Home policies and proceduresAll other related job dutiesSkills & Requirements SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:1. Good communication and organizational skills2. Knowledge and proficiency with computer and other office equipment3. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, Social Security and other entitlement and insurance coverage4. Knowledge of General Ledger5. Knowledge of Nursing Home reimbursement6. Ability to relate well with residentsfamilies7. Ability to relate well with Management8. Ability to Supervise staff9. Ability to work with other staff as a team10. Ability to utilize computer and other office equipment skillfully and safelyAGE-RELATED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:1. Ability to relate to adult and geriatric populations in a manner that respects their needs and capabilities2. Ability to interact with hisher staff in a manner that respects their needs3. Ability to interact with fellow Supervisors in a manner that respects their needsJOB QUALIFICATIONS:1. Four years of College or equivalent experience2. Minimum 5 years billing experience preferred3. Minimum 2 years Supervisory experience4. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Third party billing5. Medicare and Managed Care SNF and Home Care billing and collection experiencePHYSICAL DEMANDS:1. Required to reach and bend to access files2. Required to sit at a desk for long periods of time3. Required to use computer for longs periods of time4. Required to open file draws which may weigh 50-75 pounds5. Required to speak and write in an understandable manner6.
