Job DescriptionOur client, a non-profit whose mission is to prepare women for senior leadership roles in all sectors of commercial real estate (CRE), seeks a dynamic, poised, and motivated Engagement Director & Senior Manager to help elevate their platform throughout expansion markets in the Northeast, including NYC, Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C.The Engagement Director & Senior Manager works under the supervision of the CEO, and is primarily responsible for engaging and cultivating community located in the Northeast, which includes not only Scholar alumni, mentors, and other volunteers, but also the CRE industry, partner organizations and associations, and affiliated universities.This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial and innovative individual to work remotely with a small but mighty team based out of Chicago, dedicated to advancing and elevating women leaders in the male-dominated CRE industry. They achieve this goal through scholarship support for graduate study, mentorship, and networking opportunities for women with high potential who are committed to becoming leaders in the real estate industry.A day in the life of the successful Engagement DirectorSr. Manager includes, but is not limited to:Engagement of Stakeholders across the Northeast:Planning, executing, and publicizing recruitment events at graduate school programs (at least 3 annually, generally in winterspring), in coordination with the Client's teamPlanning & executing at least one networking event in New York, Boston, and Washington DC annually, in coordination with the Client's teamCreating & managing a task force of committed stakeholders to meet regularly in the Northeast region. This group will also be responsible for recruiting a larger pool of volunteers to serve as mentors, etc.Developing & growing strategic relationships with key associations and universities in the NortheastAttending CRE industry events on a regular basis, networking & promoting the client and building relationships with industry contacts. Examples of in-person engagement events include:University-sponsored eventsWomen's Network events at companiesorganizationsScholar recruitment eventsMediaIndustry eventsReal Estate program alumni eventsOnline Community ManagementOwning & executing the roadmap for community initiativesDefining goals and objectives for the community and executing teamDeveloping strong cross-functional relationships. Be an evangelist for the community internallyMeasuring & monitoring the performance of community initiatives and constantly iterate to improveCollaborating with the Program Director around immediate and long-term online community goalsProviding coaching & support to groups leads to empower group initiatives and autonomyAssisting the core team in creating projects, news, and supporting materials to encourage transparency and community developmentAssisting the core team in creating & maintaining navigable documentation for existing processes, as well as advising on the implementation of new onesActing independently & confidently across a wide variety of circumstances and situationsDeveloping & maintaining resources and content to be delivered to group admins and community membersManaging inbound communications and streamline tools offered in the community platformRequirementsThe ideal Engagement Director & Senior Manager candidate possesses the following skills & experience:Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred: data management, communications, marketing, non-profit or business administrationExcellent time-management and organizational skills are required. Management experience preferredExperience in the non-profit sector, real estate sector or universityeducational sector is desirableExperience working with technology platforms such as online communities, CRMdatabase systems and project management systems is preferredDetail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skillsEvent-management skills are desirablePassion, Integrity and Energy; Growth MindsetDemonstrated ability to work independently and as a self-starter as well as collaboratively among a teamProficiency in MS Suite, Outlook required. Experience with Donor Management Systems (e.g. Little Green Light), Constant Contact, WordPress a plus
