The desired cook candidate will have hotel cooking experience and a culinary degree. An intermediate cook should have a professional knowledge of cooking ingredients and procedures. Two years' experience as a Commis Tournant in a high-volume kitchen or a combination of skills and education & experience that provides skills required for this position. Fluent in English; efficient verbal & written communication skills Experience preparing breakfastbrunch. DESIRABLE: Two year degree course in Culinary Arts or equivalent training. Certification from the New York State Department of Health. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:ESSENTIAL:Service Orientation Excellent knife skills (chopping, slicing, dicing, etc. meat, vegetables, fish, fruits). Knowledge of sauces and cooking techniques. Self-Efficacy Ability to execute recipes involving all phases. Ability to prepare all dishes consistently and according to chef's specifications instructions. Ability to work in a high-pressure environment. Other Physical Skills Ability to stand for long period of time and withstand high temperature. Ability to bendliftpushpullcarry around equipment, etc. in excess of 50 lbs. Salary Ranges: $29.8718-$33.8547 per hour
