Description:***Effective October 15, 2021, all employeescontractorsinternsvolunteers are required to provide our office with proof of COVID vaccination.***Office Technician Scheduled:Tuesday-Friday 11:30AM-8:00PM & Saturdays 9:00 AM - 5:00 PMOffice Technician Pay Rate:$17.00 per hourOffice Technician Position SummaryThe Office Technician reports to the Office Manager of Latino Treatment Program. The Office Technician is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to support the Latino Treatment Program. The Office Technician will undertake a variety of activities in the office ranging from filing, data entry and answering the phone.Office Technician Duties and ResponsibilitiesFacilitate professional phone communication: answer incoming calls, take and relay messages, make appointment reminders, and check voicemail.Follow scheduling guidelines to schedule prescribers and assist with scheduling changes.Provide professional, trauma-informed customer service and demeanor at all plete initial contact with consumers, enterupdate consumer information into electronic health records (EHR), assist consumers with initial intake tasks.Verify consumers' insurance eligibility consistently.Filingretrieving charts when needed.Check consumers inout, provide transportation passes and obtain necessary consumer signatures.Assist with monitoring and reminders to staff and consumers to help ensure recoverytreatment plans and medication are current.Assist with consumer communication to facilitate behavioral health services.Assist with medical records department, on an as-needed basis.Maintain professionalism with both independent tasks and during collaborative teamwork.Other duties reasonable and related to this position as directed by related supervisors.Office Technician Skill RequirementsBilingual (SpanishEnglish)Excellent mathematical skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Type 4555 wpmExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to read and write in both English and Spanish.Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.Ability to work independently.Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram dorm.Ability to deal with problems involving several concreate variables in standardized situations.Project a positive, accommodating demeanor and a customer satisfaction-focused mindset.Demonstrate the capability and willingness to learn and implement new and ongoing processes.Exercises sound judgment in carrying out daily activities and managing any issues which arise.Able to competently utilize Microsoft Office Suite, email, EHR, and technology used in the course of job duties.Strong commitment to providing quality services to members.Adhere to confidentiality policy and HIPAA guidelines.Office Technician Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and carrypullpush items weighing up to 25 lbs.Requirements:Office Technician Education, Employment and Credential RequirementsHigh School Diploma (or GED) and at least two (2) years office experience or related experience;Associate's Degree and at least two (2) years of office experience.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Programs.Bilingual (English and Spanish) skills required.Understanding of basic accounting, and personnel management.Valid PA State Criminal, FBI, Child Abuse clearances.Clearances must be updated every 3 years per COMHAR policy.Must have a current ACT 31 (Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse Certificate).Licensed individuals must renew every two (2) years.
