Description:BASIC FUNCTION: Provides treatment and counseling services to promote rehabilitation and client centered interventions. Demonstrates professional competency by successfully engaging and treating clients to meet treatment goals.MAJOR DUTIES:Counsels clients, writes treatment plans, assesses client progress and recommends needed services such as HIV and vocational counseling referrals and parenting classes.Teaches clients how to manage stress and circumstances affecting their lives.Case Management of legal reports, court letters, EAP, andor educational assistance.Collaborate with Vocational staff to integrate vocational rehabilitation into overall treatment process.Recommend clients for consultations as appropriate (i.e. psychological or psychiatric).Participates in assessing clients in weekly staff meetings and in a multi-disciplinary team setting.Assists other clinical staff by providing information necessary to assess clients and collaborate on treatment planning.Obtains, monitors and integrates into treatment planning all urinalysis data as directed by pletes in-service and other trainings.Participates in all meetings as directed by supervisor.Fills in for other Counselors who may be on leave as Residential programs, conducts room inspections to assure cleanliness and adherence to program rules and regulations.Performs other duties as requested or assigned.SCHEDULE OPTIONS: Sunday-Thursday 8AM-4PM or 2PM-10PMTuesday-Saturday 8AM-4PM or 2PM-10PMFriday-Tuesday 2PM-10PMLOCATION: New York, NY 10002RATE: $50,000 - $60,000 year dependent on experienceWe offer excellent benefits including:Generous time off that includes 4 weeks of vacationMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceDiscounted Commuter benefitsLife insurance & Long term disabilityEligible for Federal Student Loan Repayment ProgramTraining and other additional voluntary benefitsTo join our diverse team, please include salary requirements with your resumeapplication submission.Please visit us at MinoritiesWomenDisabledVetRequirements:QUALIFICATION - EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:CASAC and 1 year experience in SUD preferred. OR CASAC-T and 3 years' experience in SUD; in addition, must obtain CASAC within 6 monthsHigh School DiplomaGEDKnowledge of substance use treatment including Methadone detoxification and withdrawal symptoms.Must be multi-culturally sensitive to the needs of clients in treatment.Familiarity with Therapeutic Community pensation details: 50000-60000 Yearly SalaryPIf825e4cc6d73-26289-35708735
