MANHATTAN UNIVERSITY NON-CREDIT PROGRAMSPOSITION TITLE: Summer ESL InstructorReports to: ESL CoordinatorRemuneration: Bachelor's degree + 1 year teaching experience - $23hour Bachelor + 2-3 years teaching experience - $24hour Bachelor + 4 or more years teaching experience Masters PhD - $25hourPosition Summary: Seeking ESL part-time instructor candidates for Summer 2025 at the Manhattan University campus in Riverdale, Bronx. Candidates should be located within commuting distance of Manhattan University.Dates: June 17th - August 12th, 2025During their sessions, instructors will teach ESL classes for teenagers from 8:30 AM - 12:45 PM on weekdays.Under the general direction of the ESL Coordinator, instructors will provide ESL classroom instruction to students from diverse backgrounds to facilitate the attainment of student learning structors must be available for a training session before their first day of teaching. Dates and times of training sessions are to be determined and will be disseminated to successful candidates.RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide academic instruction to students through communicative English language courses; assess and develop cognitive abilities, communication skills, and higher-order thinking skills among students through appropriate assignments and activities in one-on-one, classroom, and other instructional settings; Plan and organize instruction utilizing the proprietary online instructional materials and curricula; Maintain current, accurate records of course enrollment and attendance; Upon hire, take part in Program training. Perform related duties as assigned.Supervises: NAQUALIFICATIONSMinimum qualifications: Completed degree. One year of teaching experience.Physical Requirements: As related to teaching.
