Job TitleMaintenance SupervisorJob DescriptionMaintenance Supervisor Our Services division offers a full-service portfolio, which includes operation and maintenance services, process optimization, system upgrades and modifications throughout the material handling system's life cycle at airports. The Shiftleader is responsible for the operational and technical personnel duties while operating and maintaining the baggage handling system at the Orlando International Airport - MCO. Provides leadership, training support, and direction to the onsite team to achieve safety, quality, productivity, along with meeting customer service goals.Essential Functions (Job Duties and Responsibilities):Exercise safe working practice at all timesInspect and diagnose complex mechanicalelectrical systemsInspect and diagnose mechanical systemsPerform specified preventive maintenanceCommunicate with various parties on the work performed and present status of specialty terpret engineering drawings in reference to layout, location, and operation of the system(s).Attend to faults, alarms and warningsMonitor reporting through CMMS, including generating and closing work ordersReact to messages from the Control Room or managerReact to messages from the Operations Teams regarding Preventive or Corrective MaintenancePerform monthly CMPM, including inspection, adjustment, cleaning, replacement parts as neededSupervision of employees assigned to the teamEnsure quality of maintenance executed on-site according to contract agreed with the customer(s)Manage system issues on-site with the maintenance team, manager and the customerSetup and maintain work schedule to ensure fulfilment of contract deliverables and more.Provide assistance to Manager (if applicable) on daily operations and perform as the manager in his absence.Ensure proper levels of supplies (spare parts, tools and office supplies and personal protective equipment) and manage vendor itiate process improvements to ensure continuous improvement of the maintenance performance to the contract.Monitors housekeeping compliance in all areas of operationsActs independently in several technical tasksIdentifies issues that need extra attention.Solves problems which disturb the daily operation.Trains less experienced employees.Required Education and Experience: Minimum 5 year technical experienced in an industrial environmentWorking experience with mechanical, electrical and controls (PLC, PC) systems2 years of prior experience as a Lead TechnicianValid Driver's LicensePreferred Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years Material Handling ExperienceMinimum of 1 year CMMS Experience preferredKnowledge-Skills-Abilities (Competencies):Self-Starter and Pro-activeDetail Oriented and Stress ResistantCustomer OrientedInnovative and Self AssuredDecision Making AbilityAdaptableStrong leadership skills, troubleshooting and problem solving skillsFully competent and versed in operations and maintenanceFlexibility with time, able to shift priorities quickly based on staff and system needsTeam playerStrong verbal and written communication skillsProactive and strong work ethic and initiative; who would like to grow and develop within the organization.Working knowledge of computers and equipmentAbility to solve problems under pressurePro-active attitude towards process improvementAbility to work independentlyKnowledge of OSHA and safety practicesPosition TypeExpected Hours of Work:Full time position; 247 operation; 3 shifts; overtime, weekend and holiday work are common.Travel:This position requires no travel. Supervisory Responsibility:The position requires supervising employees.Work Environment and Physical Demands:The work environmentphysical requirements described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job: Technicians work in secured baggage handling areas, in repair stations, or on airfields. They often must meet strict deadlines to maintain flight schedules. The employee is required to communicate over a radio.Workers frequently bend, stoop, and reach from ladders and scaffolds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift andor move items over 50 pounds. They will be lifting parts and tools for extended periods of time and handling equipment such as conveyor systems.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to vehicular traffic, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, outside weather conditions, vibration, and the baggage handling system. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Ear protection should be worn. Employees will work on an airport ramp around aircrafts and around industrial equipment. The employee identify and fix mechanical problems with machinery, and they commonly work with greasy parts and tools, sometimes in uncomfortable positions.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is working with and exposed to the baggage handling system, mechanical parts and vibration. The environment can also be loud because of aircraft engines and equipment. Driving a vehicle, and operating other industrial equipment such as forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift is common.
