Plus, we'll have a hell of a lot of fun doing it too.Pay Rate: $12 per hour, Plus Tips opportunity!PURPOSEThe Barback is responsible for keeping their assigned area clean and well stocked, working in conjunction with the bartender and providing fast, effective and accurate bar and bar related services. Pink Taco is looking for a FUN, FAIR, HONEST, HARDWORKING, UNPRETENTIOUS AND UNCOMPLICATED individual with a passion for creating an outstanding guest experience.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESProvide service to bartenders in a timely mannerPrepare all mixes and garnishesEnsure proper rotation of all liquor, beer, wine and consumable itemsKeep bar top clean and free of dirty glasses, dirty ashtrays, trash, etc. throughout shiftKeep back bar clean and organizedClean all spills immediately and place all trash in proper receptacles Sweep and mop as neededEmpty trash as necessaryAssist with loadingunloading of miscellaneous equipment, such as boxes, food and beverage productMaintain openingclosing liquor, beer, wine and consumables parEnsure all stocking is complete, requisitions are filled out and any shortage of stock is reportedProvide guests with accurate and thorough information regarding menu items, pricing, and allergen informationRecognize and cultivate regular guests and repeat businessRespond to guest concernscomplaints and correct errors or resolve complaints while maintaining a positive attitude escalating to management when necessaryMonitor potentially intoxicated andor disruptive guests and promptly bring to a manager's attentionInform management of any complaint, comments or incidentEnsure nightlyweekly and openingrunningclosing duties are completedRecord and report any equipment failure andor safety hazards to management immediately'Move furniture as directed by management, including but not limited to: tables, chairs, bar stools, banquettes, bar tables, boxes, and equipmentComply with all safety and health department procedures and all state and federal liquor lawsMaintain company safety and sanitation standardsAssists and or completes additional tasks as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLSHigh School Diploma preferredProof of eligibility to work in the United StatesValid Driver's License21+ years of agePossession of or the ability to possess all state required work cardsMinimum of one (1) years related experienceExperience with POS systemsFamiliarity with beer and spiritsProper lifting techniquesGuest relationsSanitation and safetySafe alcohol serviceFull service restaurant operationsAbility to communicate effectively and assertively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with staff, clients, and the publicCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITSHourly + TipsBenefits eligible for FT EmployeesCompany DiscountsFun Work CultureWORKING CONDITIONSThe working conditions described below are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this job.
