Millwright Job Location: Moose Lumber, ME Start Date: ASAP Compensation: $26hr **This position requires you to relocate to the state of Maine through a relocation package provided by our company** The Millwright is a vital member of the company team, contributing to a safe, cooperative work environment and supporting optimal production levels of high-quality lumber. This role ensures adherence to safety protocols and promptly reports any safety or operational concerns. Reports To:Maintenance Manager Position Type:Full-Time Essential Responsibilities Safety and Preparation: Arrive on time, ready to work in a safe and cooperative manner. Adhere to all safety protocols and report any concerns promptly. Daily Operations: Participate in daily meetings and communicate safety or production issues. Perform maintenance tasks as outlined in work orders to ensure machinery runs efficiently and safely. Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area at all times. Monitor machinery and equipment performance, reporting malfunctions promptly. General Duties: Consistently follow lockouttagout procedures to prevent injuries or equipment damage. Safely operate and maintain company equipment and machinery. Perform additional duties as assigned. Equipment and Machinery Safely operate all equipment and machinery associated with company operations. Utilize safety guards and devices as required. Follow lockouttagout procedures 100% of the time to ensure safety. Qualifications and Requirements Proven reliability and strong work ethic. Knowledge of preventive maintenance, hydraulics, welding, metal fabrication, and pneumatic systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Skill in identifying and requesting machine replacement parts. Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established procedures. Effective communication skills and a positive attitude. Physically capable of: Lifting up to 50 lbs from floor to waist and 40 lbs from waist to shoulders. Engaging in repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and gripping. Standing for extended periods (10-11 hours per shift). Satisfactory completion of a pre-employment physical exam and drug screening.
