Licensed Practical Nurse - Orthopedic Clinic

DescriptionNashville General Hospital is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for our Orthopedic Clinic for Full-time Day!The LPN for the Orthopedic Clinic is responsible for assessing new patients, monitoring existing patient's conditions, providing treatments such as dressing changes and administering medications as ordered by the physician. The Licensed Practical Nurse will also provide basic medical care to patients and maintains standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with clinic.*This is a Monday-Friday position 8:00am-4:30pm*LPN Responsibilities:Greet and answer patients general questions regarding carePrepare new patient charts while ensuring all proper forms are complete, current and entered into charting system.Monitor and record patient vitalsAssists physicians andor physician's assistant with special procedures, gathers necessary equipment of instruments, positions patient and responds to instructions given by physician or physician's assistant. Patient education on physician's plan of care Wound cleaning, suture removal and dressing of woundsRequired Skills & Qualifications: Must be licensed as an active LPN by the State of TN or if working on compact state license, TN license must be obtained within 30 days of hire BLS within first 90 days of employment Associates Degree requiredAbout Nashville General Hospital Nashville General Hospital (NGH) is Nashville's original community-based hospital.
