Every employee takes a person-centered approach that exemplifies the ICARE values (Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence) through empathic communication and partnerships between all persons.Work Shifts9:00 A.M - 5:00 P.MJob DescriptionAssignment Level IIIUnder general supervision, with moderate latitude for independent judgment and decision making, inaddition to performing the duties of the lower Assignment Levels at a higher level either supervises theduties of social work staff or performs tasks in a specialized clinical andor programmatic area. Typicaltasks include:Examples of Typical Tasks:1. May provide direct clinical supervision and guidance to social work staff, screen and assign cases,schedule staff, read and review staff work, evaluate work performance andor maintain time and leaverecords.2. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), provides and documents clinical supervision of NYCH+H Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSWs) toward advanced Social Work licensure in alignmentwith the all relevant professional standards and practices, and in accordance with all applicable NYSlicensure laws.3. Maintains individualized supervision logs documenting clinical supervision and ensures timelycompletion of attestation forms required by NYSED Office of the Professions to support LCSWlicensure applications, as applicable. 4. May conduct or lead special studies and projects including the collection and evaluation of data relatedto vulnerable patient populations and prepare and present reports related to these service populations.5. Establishes and maintains professional social work standards of performance concerning interviewtechniques and methods and practices used in preparing clinical assessments, developing treatmentplans, and in documenting case histories6. Interprets clinical information based on case data, histories, statistics, etc.; prepares and submitscomprehensive reports of case findings including chronologies of medical data and social factorsnecessary to support recommended courses of action.7. Orients and educates members of other professional disciplines by developing training curricula andpresenting on social work concepts and functions.8. Trains and instructs staff in agency policies and procedures and in appropriate social work techniques,methods and practices.9. Ensures compliance with accepted social work practices and principles and operational adherence togovernment rules and regulations, including compliance with reporting requirements.10. Participates in conferences, committees and meetings on- and off-site with supervisorymanagerialstaff, other clinical professionals and with representatives of government and other agencies andorcommunity organizations.11. Analyzes population health issues relevant to the area of responsibility and serves as a liaison tocommunity agencies andor groups.12. Liaises with community agencies, facilitating communication between the agencies and thedepartmenthealth care setting and the utilization of available community resources.13. In the temporary absence of the supervisor, may perform the duties of that position.Minimum Qualifications1.
