JOB SUMMARYThe primary responsibilities of the Corrosion Engineer will include the analysis and execution of programs related to piping and pressure equipment integrity, safety and providing recommendations to better understand corrosion threats, developing and monitoring mitigation plans; providing technical support for all corrosion issues inside the plants, stations, underground storage, and pipelines; and involvement in all internal corrosion related aspects of the company's assets. This role will also work with Mechanical Integrity and operations to understand stream compositions, validate new stream composition data, determine product sampling locations and sampling frequency, evaluating the sample analysis, make mitigation recommendations, review design parameters of equipment, determining if free water is in the system, assisting operations in cooling tower water issues, MIC testing and overall evaluation of the internal corrosion process within ONEOK.Job Profile SummaryPerforms specialized engineering andor project management duties related to one or more functional areas that may include: pipeline system planning and analysis, gathering system operation; gas and liquids measurement, gas analysis, and measurement station design; processing andor storage facility operation; andor estimating, designing, and coordinating construction projects.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesDirect, perform, coordinate andor approve engineering andor project management activities related to design, procurement, construction, or optimization of company assets including but not limited to:Transmission andor gathering systems, measurement and regulation facilities, compressor and pump stations and dehydration plantsNGL fractionation, natural gas processing andor hydrocarbon storage facilitiesConstruction plans and implementationProvide technical andor engineering assistance on matters including but not limited to:Equipmentsystem designPipeline sizing and evaluationPipeline controlPipeline facility design, construction, operation, and maintenancePolicies and proceduresProcess SafetyDirect, perform and review andor approve project management activities including but not limited to:Bid proposals and contractsAFE preparation and cost managementManagement of Change (MOC)Materialequipment specifications and selectionConstruction plans and supportCreating and updating schedules timelinesPreparing project progress and other reportsManaging change ordersReview work by engineers regarding equipment efficiencies, hydraulic calculations, valve and pipe sizing and gas flow analysis.Research, analyze, prepare andor approve information including but not limited to:Engineering studiesGovernmental rules, regulations, codes, and standardsPipeline andor measurement system analyses and recommendationsHydrocarbon processing andor measurement bid proposalsConstruction andor measurement contractsCost estimatesMaterial specificationsselectionsOversee analysis and evaluation of various pipeline systems and review recommendations for improvements related to capacity, operating costs, and system operation.
