Also, assists in planning, controlling, coordinating administrative and office operations and achieving compliance with ACGME and achieving compliance with ACGME, NYS DOH and the Joint Commission.SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Administrative support to the Program Director, Associate Director and Chief Resident of the Residency Program.Provides both administrative supervision and support to residents.Takes and maintains minutes for residency program meetings.Acts as a liaison between residents and hospital administration when needed.Establishes working relationships and acts a liaison with other hospitals, internal departments, and with the division for resident recruitment and orientation.Works with the Contracts Department and Graduate Medical Education Office to develop Affiliate Hospital Agreements and Program Letters of Agreement for outside resident clinical rotations.Manages the evaluative processes of the trainees, program, faculty, and rotations, for both internal and external rotations.Oversees department level trainee orientation.Distributes departmental and GME policies and procedures.Prepares various reports required by GMEHouse Staff Affairs.Responsible for submitting new and incumbent resident packages to GMEHouse Staff Affairs Office.Tracks, reports and ensures compliance with procedures regarding annual contracts, initial and credentialing of residents.Manages materials for specialty specific residents in-service training exams and proctors the exams.Responsible for Maintaining New Innovations Data for Radiology Residents and In-Coming Rotators.Assist with completion of Program Letters of Agreements and Master Affiliation Agreements.Minimum Qualifications1. A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Psychology or Rehabilitation Counseling; and2. Two (2) years of full-time experience in medically-oriented health care and medical support systems environment, one (1) year of which included experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity in such occupations as physical, occupational, inhalation, speech and audiology therapy or as MedicalLaboratory Technologist, Microbiologist (various specialties), Chemist (biochemist), Radiation and X-Ray Technician; or two (2) years of responsible level experience in business management systems or general administration including one (1) year in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or3. A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines listed in "1" above; and4. Three (3) years of full-time experience, as described in "2" above, including two (2) years of experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity in occupations, as listed in "2" above; or5.
