Founded in 1971, we believe that the quality of your health care should not depend on how much money you make, what language you speak or what your health is, because everyone deserves great care.Position Summary:The Accounting Manager is responsible for the day-to-day and annual management of accounting operations, including ledger maintenance, payroll, accounts payable, receivables, revenue and asset accounting, as well as associated analysis and reporting. The Accounting Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls that will ensure that company assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with HealthPoint's financial policies, regulatory guidelines, and US GAAP. As a key leader of HealthPoint, the Accounting Manager creates and fosters a culture of inclusivity, respect, understanding, compassion and empowerment in service to the well-being and growth of its patients, communities and pensation is dependent on skills and experience.Your contribution to the team includes: Responsible for the accurate and timely interim, monthly and year-end processing and reporting for financial operations, including preparation, review, and analysis, in accordance with HealthPoint polices, GAAP, regulatory, and A-133 federal audit (single audit) guidelines. Organize and direct the general accounting functions, financial reporting, and balance sheet management. Ensure that all accounting software is evaluated and utilized to support the organization's needs for financial management and reporting. Responsible for hiring, performance management, talent development, employee relations, recognition and training of staff by providing effective leadership. Ensure all work is completed in support and enhancement of the objectives and goals of the organization.Develop and maintain internal controls to provide assurance that company assets are protected.Ensure that company financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies and US GAAP. Responsible for reviewing monthlyquarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure this compliance.Lead and coordinate the annual audit document preparation for the periodic review of HealthPoint's financial records. Also responsible for the implementation of agreed upon recommendations, related to areas of responsibility resulting from the audit findings. Supervise the completion of Federal and state tax reporting requirements, insurance reports and other reports required by government regulation. Direct the reporting of key financial statistics as determined by organizational leadership, which includes monitoring any activities related to the delivery of healthcare services.Supervise grant invoicing and reconciliation to comply with grantor funding requirements, including any grant-related audits and reporting requirements with local, state, and Federal agencies. Collaborate with the Development Department and Grants Administrator to ensure complete, accurate, and timely reporting.Conduct Finance operations using HealthPoint's LEAN Management System methodologies to identify waste, determine system improvements, and implement changes through a structured process.Maintain good attendance, is punctual and works full scheduled shift is a condition of employment.Demonstrate respectful, professional and appropriate behavior that supports a team oriented work environment.Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, core values and goals of HealthPoint.Responsible for hiring, performance management, talent development, employee relations, recognition and training of staff by providing effective leadership. Ensure all work is completed in support and enhancement of the objectives and goals of the organization.Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to streamline and enhance office operations using the HealthPoint Lean Management System (HLMS) tools and processes.Attend staff meetings, in-service meetings and participate in committees and task force activities as required.Assume department supervisory duties in the absence of Director of Accounting.Other duties as assigned by supervisor.Must have's you'll need to be successful: Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in accounting from a four-year college or university. Five to seven years progressively responsible accounting experience, including 5 years as a supervisor. Knowledge of Lean methodology for process improvement and project management highly desired.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 is required, prior to start.
