The Securitization product at BBVA is a newer effort added to the CIB platform to expand the Bank's value-added product capabilities available to its corporate and financial institutions clients. The team is focused on arranging, executing and managing securitization financing transactions for relationship clients to support working capital needs, fund growth, and expand access to alternative sources of liquidity. The Securitization team in the US will become a strategic partner to clients and build a leading presence in the Securitization and ABS market in coordination with BBVA's broader efforts to grow its entire CIB platform.As an analyst on the Securitization team, you will work directly with senior team members in preparing marketing material, detailed credit and data analyses and recommendations to help our clients succeed. You will also be an integral part of executing the solutions we present to clients, from preparing term sheets, creating lender presentations, negotiating legal documentation, and executing the internal securitization facility closing process. Analysts on our team will need to quickly learn securitization financing concepts, cutting edge technologies, macro themes, and regulatory changes, staying in front of trends relevant to our these roles, analysts will need to develop and manage complex financial models and be able to create highly professional pitchbooks to clearly present our solutions to clients. The analyst will also need to demonstrate an understanding of securitization reporting, macroeconomic and accounting concepts including how securitization financing fits into a client's capital and liquidity structure. A high level of technical competence is a must for this role. The successful candidate would directly support the Securitization team but will have the opportunity to gain exposure to the other capital markets teams that are part of BBVA's Investment Banking & Financing platform over time.List MajorEssential Job Duties:Preparation of marketing materials for client pitches and idea generation, including pitchbook template updatesSecuritization data analysis across relevant asset classes including both consumer and commercial flow products (auto-related, consumer and commercial loan, trade receivables, etc)Credit risk evaluation and preparation of internal proposal memos for transaction approval from BBVA's Risk departmentPortfolio management and information reporting on in process transactions and closed deals, including interaction with finance on fee recognitionSecuritization facility approval, closing, and booking for transactions booked in NY using internal processes and systems, working with various teams to book transactionsLevel of Complexity and Risk Involved: Moderately complex responsibilities, with a critical component being the preparation of client pitch books, marketing documents, and involvement in credit evaluation, data analytics, deal execution and loan booking.Scope of Duties:Interaction with other teams within the BBVA GroupMaintenance of internal reports and their distribution to the appropriate areasMarket updates and data managementUnderstanding and development of securitization models and securitization data analysisOral and written presentations for client marketing and internal purposesTerm sheet preparationSupport credit evaluation proposal memosClient meeting participation when practicalPreparation and monitoring of the facility closing processLoan booking on the Bank's loan servicing toolIdentification and use of research and toolsParticipation in due diligence meetingsSkills, knowledge, and abilitiesCompetencies:Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or related fieldFluent in English. Working Knowledge of Spanish is a plusExperience working on a financing team at a banking institution is a plusExcellent communication and presentation skillsAttention to detail is criticalStrong organizational skills to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work in a team environment and under tight deadlinesData modeling and knowledge of securitization data concepts is a plusProficient in ALL Microsoft Office Tools - strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities a must. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
