We work seamlessly across practices, industries and jurisdictions with asset managers, private equity and venture capital firms, Fortune 500 and FTSE companies, major sports leagues, entertainment industry legends and other industry-redefining companies.The Associate Director of Business Development - Private Credit will collaborate with the firm's Private Credit Group (PCG) to develop and implement business and marketing strategies. This role will also involve working with other Corporate practices of the firm, acting as a liaison to drive collaboration. A key aspect of the role will involve working with PCG to identify opportunities to grow client base and generate revenue in relation to hot topics and trends. This role requires influencing key partners and stakeholders to ensure a coordinated, focused approach, and will report directly to the Director of Marketing Services.Responsibilities Oversee the execution of PCG's strategic initiatives, collaborating with key stakeholders and the business development team. Assist with the creation, refinement, and implementation of PCG's strategic plans, including short- and long-term objectives for sector growth with measurable ROI and KPIs (covering data collection and reporting, event management, client relationship management, and new business generation). Develop core messaging and brand positioning for PCG, including value propositions, top clientmatters, proof points, etc.). Partner with the CommunicationsPR team to enhance PCG's brand and increase visibility. Develop off-the-shelf marketing and pitch materials that showcase PCG's capabilities. Create, plan and oversee execution of events, campaigns and initiatives that align with PCG's business plan and elevate the PCG brand. Identify external sponsorship and speaking opportunities at industry conferences and events across practices and geographies. Understand PCG's high value offerings, clients' business objectives, and market opportunities to identify cross-practice initiatives that capitalize on trends. Partner with the client development leadership team to drive operational excellence, resource efficiency, and alignment with PCG's strategic objectives. Coach, mentor, train and manage the business development team. Perform additional responsibilities and assignments as needed.Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. At least 10 years of experience in a similar role in a professional services firm. Strong strategic business development background and knowledge of core principles. Strong client service skills. Understand the broad areas of law practice by a full-service, international law firm. Ability to maintain professional composure in high-pressure situations and a fast-paced, multi- authority environment. Ability to undertake large, long-term projects, while overseeing the day-to-day and completing short term priority projects. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficient leadership skills.This position will require physical presence in Proskauer's offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm). The anticipated compensation range for this position is $225,000 - $275,000.
