LocationNew York, New YorkShift:Night (United States of America)Description:Department: Food & Nutrition ServicesLast Reviewed: 892018Position SummaryUnder the supervision of the Supervisor of Food Service, responsible for working in a specific retail area, such as Starbucks, in a warm and inviting customer focused area. Responsible for producing and serving hot and cold foods, preparing and serving hot and cold beverages, sanitation and cleaning, stocking and organization, cashiering and providing excellent customer service. Essential Job Duties Prepares to standard, in accordance with customer requests, a variety of hot and cold beverages using required ingredients, accessories and equipment.Heats, prepares and serves convenience foods to standard for customers using specific equipment, including but not limited to a Turbo Chef oven; serves other foods to customers such as muffins, scones, etc. Maintains and cleans cooking and brewing equipment, utensils and area according to sanitary standards and regulations.Greet and engage with customers with a warm welcome and respond to customer requests and problems promptly and courteously.Adapts well to training in customer service techniques, recipe adherence, preparatory, sanitation, cashiering, mixology, storage and handling.Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink and menu items and answering questionsMaintains inventories, including but not limited to, replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; grinding coffee; maintaining supplies, pastries, cookies and all grab and go food and beverage items displays and promotional items.Delivers legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer needs.Uses Point of Sale systemcash register to record the order and compute the amount of the bill according to Department Cash Handling Policy. Collects payment from guests and makes change.Maintains a clean and organized workplace so that resources and products can be located as needed.Provides quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe presentation standards.Prepare food and recipes to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients.Follows all health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed.
