Supervise, train, and monitor employees in the Admitting department to ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.2. Coordinate with the Emergency Department and Nursing regarding patient admissions, transfers, and discharges using Epic Financial software.3. Train and supervise staff at the Patient Information Desk on issuing visitor passes, processing discharges, and directing visitorspatients. Provide coverage if short-staffed.4. Oversee and process death certificates, coordinate with other departments and external entities (Department of Health, Medical Examiner, Queens Morgue) to ensure proper handling of decedents. Manage corrections, scanning, renaming, and distribution of death certificates, and distribution of Mortality Report.5. Perform necessary procedures during system downtimes.6. Monitor WebEx Chat for daily interactions with inpatient units on patient movements and store information for later reference.7.Prepare and distribute census reports, and monitor departmental metrics and bed activities. plete and stay current in all mandatory and assigned training in Peoplesoft, and monitor departmental staff's completion of same.9. Answers telephone inquiries. Trains staff as to the proper way to answer telephone and process calls.10. Oversees supplies, process purchase orders for miscellaneous items needed by the department, including Admitting Packages and Telegram orders, and keeps Director abreast of inventory status.11. Maintain and organize area in a clean and orderly manner. Ensures all equipment is functional and coordinate repairs. Ensure that staff have necessary equipment and software entitlements to perform their tasks. 12. Other projects as assigned by the Director of Admitting.13.Perform all duties in alignment with the mission, vision, values, and behavioral expectations of NYC Health+ Hospitals.Minimum Qualifications1. Master's degree from an accredited college or university; and one (1) year of administrative and operational support or related experience; or2. Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university; and two (2) years of experience, as described in "1" above; or3. A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education, andor experience, as described in #3 of Assignment Levels I and II above.4.
