The Dublin Community Recreation Center (DCRC) is more than just an exercise facility; it is a centralized hub and resource for the residents of Dublin and nearby communities.The Reservation Specialist plays an integral role in assisting the Recreation Services Department and the DCRC with facility reservations and supporting the Operations work unit by serving as Manager on Duty (MOD). Under the supervision of the Recreation Operations Specialist, the successful candidate will perform specialized clerical support, primarily focusing on supporting facility reservations and membership services.SchedulingAvailabilityThis position works 25-30 hours per week, predominantly weekday afternoonseveningsA typical work week is Monday-Friday from approximately 12-6pm, with occasional availability on weekends to accommodate position needsPlease note: This is a part timeseasonal position that is not eligible for comprehensive benefits such as vacationsick leave, health, vision or dental insurance.Beyond the PaycheckDiscounts on classes and memberships at the Dublin Community Recreation Center (DCRC)Refer a Friend Bonus Program ($50 per successful employee referral)Ohio Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS) enrollment and contributionsPotential Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibilitySupport through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP)20% discount on classes and free textbooks at Franklin UniversityFostering Internal Talent (FIT) Program offering incentives, training and team buildingDiscountedfree employee participation in select City events (Memorial Golf Tournament, Dublin Irish Festival, etc.)Career mapping and growth opportunities Examples of Duties Examples of duties include, but are not limited to:Serve as support staff member for facility reservations, including; providing excellent customer service to patrons and internal customers through direct facility operations management; providing pre-event consultation, event planning, and post-event evaluation; accepting payments and issuing contracts for facility reservations; maintaining an audit file for each facility rental contract, which includes original contract, all correspondence, changesdeviations, amendments, clarifications, and payment schedules; meeting with facility renters or vendors regarding event space; working with customers on their event floor plans and communicating setup needs with staff; communicating daily, in a timely and professional manner, with facility renters, potential vendors, andor staff regarding the day-to-day reservations of event space in the Dublin Community Recreation Center, including use of appropriate software systems; identify and recommend purchases for replacement supplies and new supply orders as they relate to the Dublin Community Recreation Center's rental spaces.Perform Manager on Duty responsibilities by managing the daily operations of DCRC facilities and activities through proactive problem solving of patron, staff, program, maintenance and facility-related issues; serves as primary responder for all health-related emergencies and manages guests and staff responsibilities during emergency situations;makes recommendations for program changes and facility improvements; serves as a liaison with other DepartmentsDivisions to identify, notify, and act upon patron and facility needs; assists in oversight of part-timeseasonal staff in supervisor's absence.Serve as support staff member for Membership Services by assisting the Membership Services Coordinator with administrative tasks.Please note: This position is not responsible for any formal supervisory duties, but may direct the work of other seasonalpart-time employeesvolunteers.
