In order to be considered for this role, after clicking "Apply Now" above and being redirected, you must fully complete the application process on the follow-up screen.OverviewThe Concession Runner is available for all events to stock and replenish concession stands.This role will pay an hourly wage of $17.27 to $18.00.Seasonal Part time LA County Fair Work Season Dates: April - June 15, 2025.This position will remain open until June 15, 2025ResponsibilitiesResponsible for assisting with receiving and distribution control for the venueEnsure proper transfer process of product between locations, including follow-up documentation Assist in performing maintenance; responsible for concession and utility equipment cleaning and maintenance; portable equipment, burden carriers, carts, floors, refrigeration, and lighting. Ensure manifested equipment is in locationConduct walk through of the commissary, warehouse and storage areas after the completion of the day to ensure all areas are cleanPossess a thorough working knowledge of all existing concessions locations; geographical location, equipment, evacuation procedure, adjacent employee and guest areas, and facility access.Performs openingclosing responsibilities of bar beer stand; Assure and maintain the area is operableResponsible for changing kegs bibs CO2 tanks propane tanks repairing beer stands Responsible for the initial preparation and servicing of the Bar which includes restocking beer, ice and co2's, cleaning, and other duties assigned by BarBeverage management teamMaintains cleanliness of bar area, beer coolers, refrigeration and storage areas to comply with health code standards, includes sweeping, mopping and sanitizing. Stocks and rotates all coolers and maintains cooler temperature log dailyChecks and assists bartender in maintaining adequate amounts of supplies, i.e. stir sticks, napkins, glassware, etc. for both the immediate bar and beer standsTake pride in personal appearance; reporting to work in neat and clean clothing; maintaining well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by Company policyWorking in a team environment with the ability to be team player and assist other team members when business needs dictateMaintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulationsRunners will be on their feet and moving around (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time; move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces as well as up and down stairs andor service ramps), ensure they have what they need to do their work (read and visually verify information in a variety of formats, including small print; visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines), and taking a hands-on approach to work (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance; reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping)While performing the duties of this position, the team member will regularly be required to: Work days, nights, andor weekends as requiredQualifications2 + years acting as a Runner or similar role in hospitality, food + beverage environmentsMust have own work toolsMust have valid driver licenseRunners will be on their feet and moving around (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time; move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces as well as up and down stairs andor service ramps), ensure they have what they need to do their work (read and visually verify information in a variety of formats, including small print; visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines), and taking a hands-on approach to work (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance; reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping)Ability to speak, read and write in English; will be communicating with beer companyMust have knowledge willing to be trained how to change kegs bibs co2 tanks repair pvc drain lines change light bulbs etcPreferred knowledge on draft systems - soda beer Must have knowledge of various beers, wines and spiritsAbility to work in a fast paced team-orientated environment with excellent interpersonal and customer service skillsKnowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and proceduresAbility to meet the demands of the work schedule to be at work and on time, work long hours if needed; maintain excellent attendance
